Hi, what do people do during half term and holidays for childcare. My kids are both under 5 and I’m planning to go back to work once they both start nursery. What do you do during school holidays? Babysitters?

It takes planning but it works x

If you enroll them in a private nursery, you get your funded hours and pay extra for the days out of term time. This is the easiest way as they keep the same routine and you don't need additional childcare.
Once they are in school, there are also clubs.
Otherwise, find a babysitter, childminder, ask a family member or take time off.

Private nursery all year round x

I combined our annual leave which was 10 weeks. I worked school hours but term time I did mon-wed long days. My oh had Mondays off due to retail. My parents helped. We also did camps. Did mean planning the year in advance.

Mines at a nursery that does all year round care. Theyre closed for christmas, bank holidays and a few staff training days and thats it.
Childminder or holiday camps otherwise

Looking for some support really. I’ve been on mat leave since March, of which I got 6 months full pay which has now ended. I know so many people don’t have this and I am so grateful for it. I’m now on stat pay which runs out mid December, then the £0 kicks in.
I earn significantly more than my partner, and I just feel like I’m paying for everything for the baby, and I don’t know what to do when my money runs out. I had savings to top up my stat pay, but after that, nothing.
He’s a fantastic partner and dad to our baby, he works 12 hour days plus overtime, yet I still earn more. We’ve stripped our outgoings right back, but an example is it costs him nearly £400 a month on fuel just to get to work. There are no jobs doing what he does closer to home right now, he’s a tradie with a particular skill set. We don’t do anything special, even just the cost of food and essential bills is astronomical 😢
I just feel so overwhelmed with all the financial burden being on me. I do have a job to go back to, but because I moved across the country whilst pregnant I realistically can’t go back there because it’s a 400 mile round commute. So I’m also trying to find a job to start in January but it’s proving so difficult.
Just needed a rant really. Why does having a baby only financially burden the woman. Also being the one that earns the most sucks. 😭

Hi everyone,
Our son is currently ill with his latest cold and the owner of the nursery told me to maybe think about giving him vitamins as he gets sick more than the other kids do.
We give him vitamin d drops already but would vitamins work? I'm wondering if we need to feed him differently - though he has quite a varied diet I thought... We give him carbs, proteins and veg and full fat milk/ cheese, he likes fruit and veg. Only thing we don't regularly feed is red meat but he has fish and chicken.
Just wondering if anyone has any insights on this as I'm open to ideas!

Help!! My partner and I can't choose between two nurseries.
We want our son to start nursery in January as working from home is becoming impossible now😅 he will be 16 months by then.
We have visited two and they both have their pros and cons but can't decide especially since nursery A was visited on a Saturday so didn't see staff and children in action.
I know the decision is up to us at the end of the day but if you saw this list below what would you choose?

Moms, how do you give medicine to your toddlers? 🥹 My little one spits it out almost immediately, no matter what I try. Force-feeding is absolutely not an option for me. I’d love to know what works for you and your little ones! ❤️

Some of the petty things women on here vent about their husbands. Like maaaaannn I wish those were the problems me and my husband had. Feel blessed all you got to worry about is his annoying chewing.
