Anyone else struggling in motherhood?

My son is two years old, and at the moment his behaviour is the worst it’s ever been. You give him into trouble and all he does is laugh at me, my moods are at an all time low right now and have been for a few weeks now (not because of my son). I feel myself getting so irritable with him and once he’s gone to bed I genuinely just sit and cry due to how guilty I feel over it. I genuinely feel like I’m such a shit mum right now and I don’t know how to dig myself out of this hole. My husband came home tonight and had I to take myself into my room and just cry

I would love to discuss this further with you. My daughter turns 3 next month and will literally say Haha in the most condescending tone when I discipline her. I love my daughter; she's wonderful and perfect in her own way, but she doesn't listen at all. I find myself yelling and getting frustrated more often than not.

Mine is 3.5 years old, and let me tell you. They run you out like some kind of fool. There’s this saying that says, “parents don’t break kids, kids break parents” because in all honesty, motherhood ain’t build for the weak and the fact is 2-4 years olds are the hardest to deal with. We as mum have to try to suck it in and do our best to what we can do plus, they emotions at this age is fully developed yet, so we got to try fix our emotions first before dealing with theirs.
You’re doing good and better to be calm in some moments.

Hope this helps. 😊 xo

Two can be such a challenging age. They’re finding their voice, exploring emotions, testing boundaries, and their favourite word is often “NO” or “Haha”It can be incredibly frustrating,
I’m really sorry you’re feeling this way.❤️
If you don’t mind, could you give me an example of something he did that got him into trouble? Sometimes at this age, children don’t fully understand that they’re being told off. Laughing doesn’t necessarily mean they’re being disrespectful or deliberately ignoring you.
What happened before the behaviour, how you responded, how he reacted, and what happened afterward all matter. Understanding these patterns can help you figure out how to respond in a way that makes things easier for both of you.
And please don’t forget about yourself in all of this. You mentioned that your mood has been very low for weeks, and you deserve care and support too. Sending you hugs. ❤️

I need opinions and advice

Due to past problems me and my niece are not on good terms. Last night she was targeting me and only me with everything that i said even when it had nothing to do with the past problem just constant drama and smart ass remarks or insults. If i refuse to have contact with her that is taking my sister (Aunt) and my other nieces and nephew (cousins) away from my son. Last night i got very smart with her and it caught her off guard which gives me the impression shes not expecting me to react and me snapping is slowly building up. So I’m wondering if i should just be straight up and tell her how i feel and get my point across or break my sister and nieces and nephew heart to where they barely see my son or make it clear that I’m not gonna stay quiet and just let it boil over?

Taking a newborn out

What age/ weeks is it okay to take a newborn out of the house?
Christmas is my favorite time of the year and my baby will be born 2 weeks before Christmas. It’s my family in Milton Keynes turn to host Christmas this year and I live in Surrey. I badly want to attend the Christmas party as I haven’t had a proper Christmas in about 5 years.
I don’t want to risk my baby being around that many people. I also would have to take a train there as I don’t drive and I don’t know how fussy the baby will be. I know I don’t have to go but I was just wandering if anyone has any tips or advice cause I would love to have a lovely Christmas with my new born rather than be alone at home with my husband😭

Advice

Does anyone else get jealous of their partner for being able to leave the house and actually have adult conversations with other people, meanwhile your stuck at home don’t recognise yourself, because all you do is cook, clean and take care of the baby?

Trick or treating/halloween

Hi all, my 3 year old has learnt about Halloween and has shown an interest in wanting to go trick or treating this year.
The thing I’m concerned about is her collecting lots of sweets/chocolate that she may not necessarily be able to have and how you explain that they won’t be able to eat everything in one go?
Thankyou!

Does anyone else's mum just turn up at their house without prior warning?

My mum always does - granted she always brings cooked food etc with her but it's annoying sometimes 😒

I'll share why it's annoying:

I work a job that requires me to drive a lot & by the end of the work day, I'm all drived out & don't wana get back behind the wheel again.

She has to take 2 buses to get to mine which means when she gets to mine, I've therefore gotta drive her back home when I wasn't planning on doing anymore driving for the rest of the day.

She says that she does it cuz I don't visit her much but when I do visit her, I can't relax at her house - I've gotta pee in the dark cuz she's watching her light bill, I can't run the tap for too long etc etc

When she comes round, she finds faults etc & it's just not entirely fun when she's around.

Am I a bad daughter for being annoyed by her turning up unannounced? This has happened twice over the past few weeks🙄 I get she wants to spend time with me & her granddaughter but still... 😬I feel guilty sometimes cuz I know one day I might regret feeling like this😕
