So my son who is 2 has now all of a sudden decided that he does not want to brush his teeth. It bothers me because he is eating and drinking but his mouth is dirty lol I think it’s disgusting. I’m a first time mom and I’m doing this alone so it definitely shocked me like now he would cry and scream if I try to brush his teeth he doesn’t even want to do it himself and he normally does regularly. Has anyone else 2 year old son did this? I’m scared his baby teeth can mess up like that or am I wrong? Is it just me or is this normal?
Definitely need advice on this teeth problem lol.

My sons like this, I have to pin him down still. I’ll let him have a go first but he’ll only brush the front lot of teeth and I’ll try get the rest without pinning him down but it always leads to being pinned down.

So what I did at that age was "We have to brush teeth before bed. You want to do it the easy way or the hard way?" The hard way is to lay the child spine down across my lap with the head slid off my thigh. The mouth usually drops open like that and I can get a quick brush in. If the kid is being super stubborn a little tickle opens the mouth. When it is bad night I brush for less than 10 seconds. The goal is to make brushing non optional then improve technique and duration. The kid learned pretty fast that the easy way was better. Good luck!

My husband is in charge of brushing my daughter’s teeth (she is more accepting of him doing it lol) and he turns it into a game. After her shower/bath she lays down in between his legs head closest to him. He starts by “brushing” different parts of her body with the bottom of the tooth brush and she giggles and laughs and it helps her learn her body parts and bodily awareness. Then her arms get “locked” (put under his legs) so he secures her head in place so she can’t turn away and he sings songs while brushing her teeth. It’s a method we found from a pediatric OT on Facebook on how to easily brush teeth for strong willed argumentative kiddos 😂

We've all been through it. Don't stress yourself too much. Pin him down and brush. It will be 5 mins of a tantrum but he'll forget about it when it's done. We refuse to have silver mouth kids 😆.
Btw, Night brushing is the best bc we are eating throughout the day and if not brushed, the acid, sugar, etc builds. If u brush at night, a morning brush for a kid is not essential. Breath may stink but no decay. The goal is to keep tartar and cavities away. Don't stress too much momma!
My baby’s been in nursery for the last 5 months and after a long process of settling he seems happy. However, I’ve had a number of issues over this time I’ve not felt overly happy about. Now I’m at a point of considering re visiting other nurseries which feels huge knowing my sons established himself somewhere. Something that was really important to my husband and I was that the childcare setting took the babies out every so often. My son has not been out once since he started so spends 8hrs in one room. He really struggles to sleep whilst there and being in the same room for that many hours probably doesn’t help. I never get any updates in the week, never see any photos of him and on the blog posts he never appears in any photos. He has a key worker (newly assigned) but I’m not sure on the purpose of her as she’s hardly in and has never spoken to me. Then yesterday I collected him and he stunk of 💩. Got home and realised his nappy was dirty and clearly hadn’t been changed for a while. I keep telling myself as he’s happy and we’ve established our routine we are better off keeping going as changing setting is a huge decision make but I don’t know if it is worth checking a few other places out as this current one is the only one we visited originally

My husband’s car broke down yesterday, so it’s currently in the shop getting fixed. This morning, I drove him to work. He normally starts at 7 a.m., but because I also have to take our son to school, I asked him if he could start a little later. He had no issue with that at the time.
Now tonight, his boss, who lives near us, offered to give him a ride to work, and his dad also offered because they’re heading in the same direction. Despite having those options, he’s insisting that I take him and that he needs to be at work for 7 a.m.
I asked him why, because that would mean I’d have to wake up around 5 a.m. and wake up both kids, including a baby and a toddler, just to drive him to work before taking our son to school. When I tried to explain why that would be difficult for me, he started going off on me, saying I make his life difficult.
I eventually got fed up and cussed him out too, because I was tired of being spoken to like that when I was simply trying to explain my situation. Now he’s stomping around, huffing and puffing, throwing a fit, and I’ve just walked away because I don’t want to keep arguing.
What frustrates me the most is that I’m already trying to help him out while his car is being repaired. He has two other people offering him rides, but somehow I’m the one making his life difficult because I can’t accommodate the exact time he wants. I have two young children to take care of, and my time and sleep matter too. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect him to consider that instead of making me feel guilty for not doing everything his way.

Hey mommas!
I really need advice.. I have been with my spouse/father of my kids for almost 8 years. I don’t know if I’m crazy but I came to realize I’m not inlove with him anymore.. he has recently been drinking a lot, he’s an alcoholic and he knows he needs help but doesn’t want to go to therapy nor go to a meeting at he doesn’t want to do it for his own kids not for himself. I’m so tired of matching sure my kids are happy and keeping the house clean. I basically deal with our kids more than he does, it so rare when he changes one of our youngest diapers. He says that he’s never done anything wrong. And mommas let me tell you I’m currently unemployed and he’s the one working but somehow still complaining about everything! “ oh I hate my life, I stress out to much oh this and that “ but I’ve noticed that when I have a job he doesn’t tell me “ do you got money for this or is this coming out of you pocket “ and yet when I’m unemployed he starts to say it. It’s hard to even get a job now that we found out our 2 year old is autistic and needs his therapies.. I’m the one making sure that keeps happening for him.. I’m just so alone and I want to go back to CA ..

Typically, how much does your mommy’s helper charge you? Is it hourly? A flat rate no matter the hours?
