Leaving breastfeeding baby

Has anyone’s baby gone about 5–6 hours without breastfeeding? My baby doesn’t take a bottle or formula, so I’m wondering what happens if I have to leave her with someone for a few hours without me there to breastfeed.

She’s around the weaning stage now, so do you think she would eat some food if I’m not around, or would she maybe accept formula if I’m not there? She absolutely refuses the bottle at the moment.

I’m just wondering how other mums have handled this because I’m a bit worried about leaving her without milk ❤️

Hey, have other people tried to bottle feed her (when you are out of sight) rather than you doing it? That can help.
My son would never take a bottle from anyone, until he started weaning and got used to spoons and food in his mouth. So weaning may help. Try her with different cups for water at meal times. Mine loves a tum tum straw cup. If she doesnt take a bottle, she can be given formula in the preferred cup. The important thing is making sure its not you giving the formula x

My baby will not take a bottle but she will drink my milk from an open cup if someone else gives it to her. She's nearly 10 months now and I've done a few KIT days at work and she's been fine

Had two bottle refusers and I’ve never left them under 9 months nor would it be recommended unless an emergency if they won’t take milk. They’re quite unlikely to eat enough under that age to keep them full and food shouldn’t be replacing milk at that age.

Have you tried a straw/ sippy cup? Some people find success with that x

Hey, my daughter is coming up for 9 months and I just left her for the first time on Sunday. She only drank 30ml of expressed milk while I was out (it was fresh as I expressed it in the car while my partner dropped me off). She went about 5.5 hours without the boob and was absolutely fine. She does eat solids though so she’d had breakfast in the morning and milk from the boob. She then just had a slightly longer session on the boob when we were reunited and then her dinner. She was with her dad and wouldn’t drink from the bottle but did take some milk from an open cup, but she preferred water instead

Sleeping and not waking for feeds.

My baby is 3 weeks old and the last two nights has slept for 5 and a half hours without waking for a feed. I’m waking him up to feed him at this point as I’m panicking he’s gone too long without a feed. Is anyone else’s baby sleeping for this long at a time? Is it normal?

12 week sleep

My baby is 3 months next week and has gone from sleeping 5-6 hour stretches to waking every 1.5-2 hours.

She’s also started sucking her thumb when she wakes. I don’t know if I should leave her to try and self settle as I’m currently feeding every time but it’s exhausting.

Any advice? I’m really hoping it’s a growth spurt or regression.

Super absorbent nappies

Can anyone recommend super absorbent nappies that also don't cost a fortune?

We've tried ALDI's Mamia and Pampers nappies but as soon as there's thr slightest bit of wetness our girl is screaming and wriggling to get changed

Entitled MIL

Has anyone's MIL feel she's entitled to the baby.... We have a very rocky relationship after she ruined my wedding. But she's so over bearing. I was trying to rebuild the relationship while pregnant for the baby's sake but my god is she getting to me. It's the little snarky comments like "a dummy is
So council house" "it looks so cheap". She then comes over & never leaves giving my advice when I didn't ask for it. Commenting on how much my own mother sees the baby over her. I'm so over it.....
