Has anyone else experienced friends sort of disappearing since having their little one?
Everyone has their own lives, and I can appreciate people giving me space while I navigate motherhood but my little girl is nearly 13 weeks and my closest friends have seen her once. I don’t ask them to come and see me and I’m happy to make the journey to meet in the middle, but something as straight forward as a text message seems like I’m asking for too much. I feel like I’m constantly trying to make the effort and message, and very rarely get anything back - when I do, it’s very basic and I don’t feel as close to them as I did.
I just feel like I wasn’t prepared for how something as wonderful as having my little girl has affected my friendships. I’m the first person around me to have a baby, too. I feel very lonely with it all and I don’t want to keep irritating my friends by trying to reach out to them.
When I brought it up to one of them, she said it was because we don’t see each other as much as I’m on maternity leave but I always think that if we were as close as I thought, it wouldn’t matter that I wasn’t at work.
I suppose in a way this is mostly just me ranting and seeing if anyone else has experienced this. I’m trying my hardest as a new mum so having this weigh on my mind is exhausting 😅

Unfortunately, this is so, so common. I really don’t understand it. I’m sorry, because i know it hurts. And to be honest it doesn’t really get much better! Please make sure to find some mummy friends who can navigate this stage of your life with you as you need someone who can relate too 🥰

Currently navigating this. It's so hurtful

I had it on the first born. Still got it with the second , it’s a hard thing to navigate but those who appreciate your friendship etc will make way for the fact your life has changed in different ways & be open to the fact that you can’t always be the same way you was . Or you may even find new friends who are extremely supportive. I got lucky with my co workers , one of them always asks if I need anything before coming over & whether I’ve ate etc before she even holds baby . Your find your own people who are lovely I promise x

I have a friend ive known for 14 years and I called her to talk to her , she said she would call bsck and she never did. Unfortunately I think its common but it doesn't make it hurt any less 😕
I’ve been on here for a couple weeks now, haven’t made a single friend. I’ve talked to a couple other moms but either been ghosted or don’t get passed a how are you. Messaged several ads to join group chats, no one responds? Did this app fall off or what?

Just wondering if anyone is either separated/divorced but is still currently cohabitating with their ex? My husband and I recently ended our marriage but we're still cohabitating and coparenting. At the moment neither of us can afford to move out. Things are tense and messy at times. I have a lot of mixed emotions but can't talk to him about them. I'd love to chat with someone who can relate.

He Knows I don’t want too. I feel bad because he’s really struggling with it but every encounter of intimacy he has to turn sexual and it’s literally making my skin crawl 🙃 so we literally never have sex and I don’t even wanna kiss him

Idk i feel so selfish because overall I have a good life. Good job healthy, great kids, ok husband but idk i feel like I've been on auto pilot for years. Im not happy with this life sadly the life alot wish for but idk im blah about it. It's very mediocre in my mental. I've made jokes about running away to my mom but I meant every word. I hate to sound like the grass is greener but idk i rather build my own forest if that makes sense. Idk maybe I'm depressed idk what's wrong with me but im not happy
