They need to be able to sit unassisted and have great head and neck control, is recommended to start weaning at six months

This is me also; But i’m finding it hard to talk honestly to people because everyone attacks you on social media for not waiting until 6 months which is ofc fair enough but a lot of people don’t follow those things. if you don’t want to feed ur baby till 6 mths that’s ok but i feel like if ur a mum looking for advice at 4mths why can’t we without being judged😩

They do recommend 6 months but truthfully Ive started. Only a little bit of milky porridge once every other day. And probably will look at other stuff too as little toothy pegs started coming through

6mths recommended.. Not 6mths you have to id say talk to you health visitor see what they say, or u know ur baby best and see if weaning is an option x

My little girl was 4m when I started her with a little bit of porridge or rusk mushed up with her baby milk xx

Yes think I’ll start the porridge first and see how that goes she’s also Cow milk allergy so just have to be careful what I try first x

This alone isn’t a sign of readiness to be weaned. Weaning before 6 months is not recommended. There is absolutely no need to rush it, allow the digestive system to mature to prevent long term health issues.

I personally think every baby is different. I’d start with just a tiny spoonful a few days a week, then gradually increase it at 5 and 6 months. There are even baby foods labelled from 4 months. Everyone has their own opinions, and that’s okay — we don’t all have to agree. ❤️😊

Getting baby home?

Me and my partner already have a 1yr old and im due in a few weeks but we aren’t sure how to get baby home. We don’t have a car and we aren’t sure if the hospital will let us go home in the train (10 min ride) using our double pram. Because in a taxi it’s a whole 40 min drive. Any help?

Debating moving to the other side of the world?!

Anyone else debated moving to Australia for the better life balance?

Me & my husband are 28 and 34 and we have an 11 month old baby. My husband is plumber in the UK and he is working 6/7 days a week and over 12 hour days, he really hasn’t been around much. I would love to move to Australia so he could be around more, the better outdoor lifestyle for our baby boy as well. The UK is just miserable in the winter and it makes it hard getting out as we live in the countryside. Also this country is going to shit and I just think we’d be better off financially over there as well as my salary is triple over there. I get Australia have their own issues like housing crisis etc but it doesn’t seem as bad from friends & family over there compared to here.

Anyone else thinking the same?

Baby no.2

Just looking for a some opinions/advice.. our little boy has just turned 18 months and me and my partner are desperate to start trying for baby no.2.. my partner works full time, I work 3 days a week.. we are just worried about money.. both our money gets eaten up each month with mortgage, bills and essential we barley have anything left over.. when we fell pregnant with our first it was the a bit of a surprise and we panicked so much on how we could make it work - we had just bought our house but 2 years later and we did it! He’s the best thing ever and my heart wants to give him a sibling but is that selfish?? We’ve got so much if our firsts baby things so we wouldn’t be starting again and I know more now what we would use and what is a waste of money? So we can keep the cost lower… idk is anyone else in or have been in this position?? Realistically are we ever going to be financially stable enough for more babies??

Potty training essentials!

For those who have done or started potty training already, what's your must haves? We plan to start over the next holidays when we have a better chunk of time off and want to be prepared.

We're thinking the steps with support rails as his mobility isn't the best, a travel potty for out and about, training pants... is there anything else you found useful or would recommend? Thanks!

Also - do they find it hard to go between a seat at home and a travel potty when out? Wanted the steps with rails for his mobility for extra support at home but just occurred to us it might also make it harder to learn to use two different things?
