My little boy turned two today. He has had a rough year with many hospital stays since just before he turned one. He used to babble and say a couple of words but now he doesn’t. I raised it with health visitor and she wasn’t concerned as he was communicating in his own way and had good understanding of what was being asked of him. Still can’t help but worry

My boy just turned two last Tuesday and says 50 and counting words. Anything I say, he’ll repeat. But it’s honestly because of trust and confidence. If my son doesn’t know people too well or just not in the mood, he’ll say nothing. Just keep saying his words to him and teaching him new ones. For my son he was just like that until one magical day when he was 18 months everything changed. He started repeating after me and talking more than ever. His pronunciation of words he already knew improved as well. One day soon it’ll just click for your child as well.

Not talking. We are bilingual and although online it says even bilingual kids should say 50 words by 2, I call it bullshit. I know bilingual families and some children do talk more and some didn't until 3.5 or even later. Eventually they all talked and usually pre school helped. I am SAHM so baby girl not visiting any nursery or groups. She knows how to say 25-30 words but mainly only uses up to 10 on repeat. Not worried or stressing over this at all. If she's 3 and no change, I will be concerned. Now not at all as she understands well in both languages, does what we ask her to and reacts to our conversation in a way that we know she understands what we saying to each other.
Any tips for getting my 9 month old to sleep through the night? He’s sleep trained and falls asleep independently, but still wakes up 3–4 times a night. What worked for you?

My Boy just turned 2 in September, my concern is that he still doesn't have any clear words, he points and gestures like hands me his empty bottle or grabs things he wants but doesn't verbally say anything... His hearing is fine I know that, he barely gets screen time either and I am trying my hardest to verbalize everything I do or repeat words when he wants something.. anybody else got this problem or advice?🫠

My baby girl is 3 weeks and she’s breastfed . I’ve noticed when she doesn’t burp she spits up so I try my hardest to burp her . But when she falls asleep it’s kind of hard to get her to burp. What should I do ? Should I not worry about it or should I wake her to get her to burp

Does anyone else have a MIL who insists on taking my 12 week old baby to “help” you get a break? 🫠😂
I know she means well, but sometimes I don’t actually want a break from my baby. I’m happy having him with me, and honestly, having someone take him away from me doesn’t necessarily feel like a break at all!
I’d much rather have help with practical things like cooking, washing up or laundry, but it feels like the main thing she wants to do is hold the baby. Sometimes I also get the feeling that she wants to feel like she’s doing her Nana duty, which I completely understand, but it can feel like her need to spend time with him gets framed as “helping me” when that’s not necessarily what I need. 🥹
I feel a bit guilty because I know she’s trying to help, but I also feel like people assume that because we’re new mums, we must constantly want someone to take our babies off our hands. Sometimes we just want support without having to be separated from our little ones. 🥹
Am I being unreasonable, or does anyone else feel the same? How do you handle it kindly without hurting anyone’s feelings?
