For those with a similar number, how many made it to blastocyst stage? 🤞🏻

I know it's really, really hard not to but try not to seek out comparisons in terms of numbers. Everyone really is so different. Some people get a large number of eggs and end up with few, if any embryos, while others get a smaller number of eggs and end up with more embryos at the end.

Try to keep yourself as occupied as you can for the next few days and steer clear of comparisons on things like TikTok and ChatGPT. Total hypocrite here as I did these things, but it really didn't help! Wishing you all the best for good news at the end x

Honestly, don't over think anything.
I've been on a journey with - 1 egg fertilised, same egg at the end of the blastocyst stage, same egg frozen as an embryo - frozen for 6 Months, transferred...and now he's turning 2 November.
Our lucky embryo that could 🩵

Keeping my fingers crossed for you! Had my first egg retrieval (and hopefully the only one) yesterday, 30 eggs retrieved, 23 mature and today we happily found out that 17 were fertilised. We should know by Sunday how many will become blastocysts. Getting though a whole new set of emotions that I have never experienced before.
Are you testing the embryos?

2 eggs collected

I'm in search of some success stories after only 2 eggs collected. I'm 41 with low amh and this is my 5th round of IVF. I don't know how many are mature yet, only had the collection today. But anyone out there that can give me some hope... please, I really need it xx

Any advice please!

I’m white, and my fiancé is Black, so our son is mixed. With the world being the way it is, I worry about having the conversations with him someday about racism, police interactions, and how to keep himself safe. As his mom, one of my biggest fears is losing my son because of the color of his skin or an interaction with a police officer.

My fiancé doesn’t feel like it’s something we need to worry about right now and thinks our son will learn about racism as he gets older. I respect his perspective, and I don’t want to push him or act like I know what it’s like to experience racism as a Black man when I don’t. At the same time, I feel like these are important conversations that we need to be prepared to have with our son.

For other moms in interracial relationships or raising Black and mixed-race children, how have you approached these conversations? At what age did you start talking about racism and police interactions? Is this something I should leave primarily to his dad to teach him, or is it important for me to be involved in those conversations, too?

I want to protect my son, prepare him for the world without making him afraid of it, and make sure he always feels loved and supported. I would really appreciate hearing your experiences and advice. ❤️
