Worried about something going wrong!

Am I the only one that has anxiety when left at home all day with my 3 month old when my other half is in the office? He wfh 3 days a week, and my anxiety is minimal when he is home. I constantly find myself watching videos on how to do CPR or what to do when he chokes on something now that he has the ability to hold things albeit still learning and im not leaving anything within reach of him swallowing anything he shouldn't. Is it because its right bang in the middle for potential of SIDS and will the anxiety ease up as he gets closer to the age of 1? Anyone else feeling the same?

Sorry, I don’t have any words of wisdom but just to say you’re not alone. I have the same too and am constantly having to stop myself from googling normal baby things that my son does and coming up with the worst case scenario. My husband is supposed to be in the office 2 days a week as well but he usually only does 1 or works from home all week because I’m so anxious. I feel super guilty but not quite sure what to do about it. Hoping it eases up when he is older as well.

I recently did an in person baby first aid course and feel a lot better than I did just watching videos

I had this with my first and again with my second when I started weaning. It’s really normal. I found with my first it got a lot better after about 9 months . With my second I’ve been a lot more chilled but still worried about doing solids on my own

How does / will(?!) the four month sleep regression ever end?

I think we’ve been in it for seven weeks now. It started the night he turned 12 weeks and he’s nearly 20 weeks now. I’ve seen things saying babies just grow out of it but how long do we wait? How long was it for all of you?

I am losing my marbles. Broken nights for this long are ruining us all. My baby wakes up miserable because he’s had such a broken night, I am a zombie, and my husband feels guilty being off at work and leaving the two of us.

And it feels like it’s getting worse, not better. Now, we aren’t even getting a longer stretch unbroken at the start of the night, it really is literally every hour the entire night long.

Baby’s naps are awful too. If I can fix them, will the nights improve, or is it the other way round?

Do I keep just waiting this out?

Help with night waking at 9 months

Any tips for getting my 9 month old to sleep through the night? He’s sleep trained and falls asleep independently, but still wakes up 3–4 times a night. What worked for you?

Burping

My baby girl is 3 weeks and she’s breastfed . I’ve noticed when she doesn’t burp she spits up so I try my hardest to burp her . But when she falls asleep it’s kind of hard to get her to burp. What should I do ? Should I not worry about it or should I wake her to get her to burp

I don’t need a break from my baby, I need help with the laundry 😂

Does anyone else have a MIL who insists on taking my 12 week old baby to “help” you get a break? 🫠😂

I know she means well, but sometimes I don’t actually want a break from my baby. I’m happy having him with me, and honestly, having someone take him away from me doesn’t necessarily feel like a break at all!

I’d much rather have help with practical things like cooking, washing up or laundry, but it feels like the main thing she wants to do is hold the baby. Sometimes I also get the feeling that she wants to feel like she’s doing her Nana duty, which I completely understand, but it can feel like her need to spend time with him gets framed as “helping me” when that’s not necessarily what I need. 🥹

I feel a bit guilty because I know she’s trying to help, but I also feel like people assume that because we’re new mums, we must constantly want someone to take our babies off our hands. Sometimes we just want support without having to be separated from our little ones. 🥹

Am I being unreasonable, or does anyone else feel the same? How do you handle it kindly without hurting anyone’s feelings?
