Potty training boys

Send help. My 3 year old just will not potty train. I’ve tried the bribes, diaperless, naked, timer, wizzy fizzies, disappearing dinosaur things, etc etc. He doesn’t seem to care about being wet or having poop on himself. He just goes and hides to poop. Peeing on the toilet is a roller coaster. We can have many good days and feel like we’re making progress then it’s like a nose dive. Please comment your unhinged advice. I will take anything 🤪

I’m not there yet, but I’ve seen something where if the child goes potty in the toilet then you give them a sticker, after a week or 2 of collecting stickers they go and get that kid a toy of their choosing (to an extent) or some type of reward like a movie night and game night or something that yall would be able to do. I don’t know if it’ll work or not but it’s always worth a shot

Have you tried the aim for the Cheerios game? Pour a few in the toilet and let him aim at them. Boys think it’s a fun “water gun” game and it also teaches them good aim into the toilet.

Following. I've been told to let them pee on trees (if able) or watch dad use the bathroom. With my daughter she liked to flush so to start I let her flush anytime one of us went then went to rewards when she got bored of it. Right around 3 is when she started crying anytime she couldnt make it to the bathroom. Boys just don't seem to care

Second child worries

So I’m currently 14 weeks pregnant with my second child. My first will be 2 years 10 months when I give birth. I’m really beating myself up about him having to share me. I’m already really grieving it being just me and him (and his dad) before the babies even here. I love my son and my unborn baby more than anything and my main priority is making sure they are both happy and healthy. My son is the most happiest little boy ever and I’m so worried for this massive change for him and I don’t want it to dull his spark or burst his bubble at all. I know in the long run he’ll be so grateful for having a sibling but I’m just anxious for the change and him adapting. Please can people give me reassurance that have experienced this and let me know everything’s going to be okay😂🥺

Anyone else find baby classes cliquey?

I thought I had made 1 or 2 mum friends from a baby class, but as soon as some others started who were also in our antenatal classes (none of us really seemed to bond at the antenatal classes, with everyone turning up and just going home at the start and end of the classes) it felt like it became a clique and I was the outsider. I'd never felt more alone or awkward, and where I would normally have stayed for a coffee, I left for jome feeling quite sad.

Unsupportive partner advice

Hey!! So I just want some advice and someone from an outside perspective to tell me their opinion on this.
My partner works in London and doesn’t get home until 7.30pm. Twice this week I have allowed him to have a long bath after work as he works in construction and had an achy back. Today, my girl has been so unsettled, crying most of the day on and off and just wanting to be held. She has not let me put her down and when I do she screams. I have been unable to shower or even get dressed today. This has been the case for the last couple of days. Cut to tonight, I came upstairs at 10.15pm to give my baby a bottle before I put her down for the night. My partner says that he is going to stay downstairs till about midnight so he can game (be on his Xbox). I then asked him if he wouldn’t mind putting the baby to bed so I could go straight to sleep instead as I am absolutely exhausted and feeling the load mentally today. Bear in mind I wouldn’t normally ask this of him but he had just told me he was going to be awake until midnight, by choice. He then pulls the “I’ve been out the house for 14 hours I need to rest”. I literally do everything for the baby. He hasn’t done a single nappy in about 2 weeks. I asked him if he could change her nappy whilst I made her bottle and he goes “well what if it’s a poo nappy”. Sorry but do I have a right to be annoyed and extremely frustrated? Or should I be more forgiving to the fact he has long days working

Weaning

Anyone else's baby just not interested in eating at all? 😭😂
My girl will be 7 months next week, started weaning around 3 weeks ago, first few days were good and she was eating purees and seemed to be enjoying them. But now as soon as the spoon comes near her mouth she shuts her mouth tight and is just not interested in the slightest!
I haven't really done much blw as I've been a bit scared but wondering if it's worth trying to see if she will enjoy that more?
Just to add she always seems interested when we are eating as if she wants food but then when we give her anything she's like 🤐

Did you regret putting your baby into nursery?

I'm really in two minds about sending my boy to nursery or being a SAHM.
He will be 1 in December and I'm due to go back in January, I haven't left him with anyone & he only settles with me not even dad. Dad is self employed & is in and out of the house. I strive of routine and have one for me and my baby, my husband on the other end will just walk in and out of the house as he pleases.
He said that he would prefer me to stay at home and look after baby, which i know is hard work with no help but of course I love spending time with my baby. I am anxious about leaving him in someone else's care and whether he's still so little for it. On the other hand I also feel like I need routine and to get out the house for my mental wellbeing but don't want to be selfish and have that as a reason to return to work. We live with my in-laws and they're lovely but I'm getting tired of living with them and feel like if I don't return to work I'll be here for another year 24/7 and be miserable and not be fully present for baby. Part of me also craves to be financially independent, I don't like asking for money and this whole time whilst on mat leave my husband hasn't given me money (he buys stuff when we're out) but has never asked me if I need anything so it doesn't give me confidence being a SAHM that he will do so and I will hate having to ask for it constantly..

BUT a part of me feels selfish for this as I still think baby is so little and needs me as much as I need him!

I really don't know what to do! Have you regretted putting baby into nursery? Any positive or negative stories or advice please :)
