Just out of interest. At four months old now, is anyone’s little ones independently napping in a cot?
We can only get my little one to nap if he’s moving. In the car, buggy, walking around with the carrier. Sit down or stop and it’s game over. (Gutted I can’t contact nap, sit and watch Netflix like I did with my first 🤭) He can be fast asleep, lay him in the cot and he wakes up within 5 minutes.
He is currently waking up again every 2 hours in the night but has had some 5 hour stretches. Will sleep fine in the night... 🤔 is it just an age thing?

Yes, I either put him in his cot or big bed when he naps. Night time definitely cot.
He also naps in the car and buggy.

Mine sleeps in the cot but only if I rock her to sleep then put her in the cot

I tend to manage to get him into his Snoo for the first nap of the day and that’s when I have my shower, but it only lasts 30mins.
I’m trying for a longer nap over lunch but if this isn’t in the car/carrier/moving in the buggy or my arms, this is also a half hour thing.
He does big stretches over night so I know he can link sleep cycles, but he hasn’t got it in the day yet which is a bit frustrating. Especially as I can see he’s still tired and would rather be asleep.
I also used to lay on the sofa with my daughter on my chest while she slept and it was GLORIOUS, but he’s having none of it unfortunately 😢 He’ll be 5m next week so I’m hoping it will come soon.

Ours will quite happily go down in his cot and put himself to sleep, and he’ll transfer fine if he falls asleep on me but cot naps are only ever 30mins, then I have to resettle with a cuddle and put back in the cot if I know he needs a longer nap. He sleeps well overnight though so I think it’s just a daytime regression where he’s learning to link sleep cycles in the day.. they’ll get there, hopefully gets easier from 6 months 🤞🏻🤞🏻

I got mine used to sleep in a cot early in , not done much contact napping or in the stroller due to having a toddler to entertain at the same time. Half on of me is very said that I couldn’t give hime the same attention, my other half is happy as he is quite independent and can sleep without having to rock him.

Mine contact naps during the day unless I am out and go two hours sometimes on me, the desperation for a pee is real, then at night at night it's a combination of rocking or napping on me then transferring to the cot or put in the cot to wiggle then go to sleep, she has started to fight sleeping on me at night so I am trying new things, sometimes when we are out she still naps on me or her buggy or car seat

Same boat. But working my way through traitors sat on an exercise ball with baby in a carrier so at least I have a wet weather option.
I am so sick of feeling guilty and being made to feel guilty. It is exhausting and it's killing me.

Baby has been sleeping through the night since 10 weeks old. Is now nearly 14 weeks. I am still frequently up to the toilet through the night and I’m disturbing him. Considering putting him into his own room with the monitor. He naps in it during the day without the monitor and I can hear him as his room is right next door. Did anyone else move their baby this young? 🙈

I know doctors don’t recommend babies sleeping on their stomach but my baby girl has been giving me a hard time when it comes to sleeping in her crib. I was thinking of trying to let her sleep on her stomach. I really don’t want to cosleep this time around. Any tips or advice?

Does anyone have advice on whether to wake a sleepy baby for feeding or changing clothes? I'm nervous about letting my baby sleep long stretches—what do other parents do if their baby misses a feed or needs changing but is sleeping soundly?

What time of day are we bathing our babies? We tend to feed 6:30am, 10am, 1pm, 4pm, 7pm, 10pm, 3am at the moment. I'm tending to do the bath at 7pm and follow up with milk, which seems to work well for us and helps him wind down for the evening. Just curious as to what others do!
