My best friend and I had babies 3 days apart, both c sections, 6 months ago. My friends belly has gone back to before with no overhang, whereas I still have an overhang.
I try not to compare but it’s making me feel really depressed. Anyone else still have an overhang?

Yes and probably always will 😊 (I’ve had it since my first baby who was born vaginally and got worse with my section).
A lot of it is genetics but I also carried two massive babies so have a lot of loose skin.
Do you do scar massage? That can really help the appearance of overhang if it’s caused by a scar that’s not very mobile x

It could be scar tissue that needs massaging x

Was this your first section?
I still have an overhang and have lost 2stone 9lbs since 6 weeks PP but this is my second section. It eventually go from my first but took a good 12 months I’d say!

Yes! 100% and I was wondering same, until doctor explained to me that every body recovers differently and it’s okay ♥️ it’s like with weight loss, one loose weight 3 weeks after and other one needs months. Pregnancy and body transformation is each of us own journey and beautiful too ♥️ give yourself a credit for growing up a human, it took your body 9 months, don’t get angry because needs time to recover ♥️ and..
comparison is a joy killer
Sending loads of love ♥️

I also have an overhang and my belly is quite big and looks very bloated all the time. Everyone is different and I think our bodies return back to normal at their own pace.
I’m not sure if breastfeeding is a factor but I’m also exclusively breastfeeding so may take longer
I see so many mums keeping a packed daily schedule, and it makes me feel guilty that I don't do the same for my 9 weeks old daughter. Do you feel like your baby needs constant out-of-the-home stimulation, or is a slower, quieter routine at home just as good?

Hey mamas! I was getting induced at 39 weeks since baby is big. The induction itself last over 30 hours and the doctor then suggested it turn into a c-section delivery. It was the most mortifying experience ever, being deliriously drugged up and in pain for such a long period of time, then being told the initial operation was unsuccessful.
Now I’m about 6 days post-partum and healing at home. Any mamas have advice on whether scar cream is necessary? Is it that effective? Which one did you use?
Any advice to speed up recovery?
Thanks!

Hey lovelies
So my water ruptured almost 24 hours ago but my contractions are not regulating themselves and I’m still at 1 cm since Thursday. They said after 24 h of the water rupture they will proceed with induction so like they will give me a pill to regulate and force the contractions to get stronger and closer tgt.
Has anyone gone through this?
