I’ve worked all my life. I’m kind of burned out tho, and I want to experience the first year or two with my first baby bonded together but don’t want to lose the momentum of staying in the loop ( I work in phone sales ) what should I do! I know my husband would probably be ok with it… but my little part time money does help sometimes…

I went back after 1 year with my first (max leave in UK) and am staying home after my second. It is the right decision for me personally but: 1. I have zero passion for the field of work I was in and will be looking into something else when my girls are a bit older and 2. I am a SAHM, not a housewife. Meaning my partner is just as involved in cleaning, parenting, cooking etc when not at work.
Have a conversation with your husband for sure, keep in mind that while being a mum is wonderful, it is also hard work. Every mum I know who is SAHM and juggling the house on her own, is absolutely miserable.

I have been a stay at home mom since my 1st was born in 2023. I LOVE it. I still have a structure and planned out our days so we aren’t always at home doing the same things and making messes. Definitely can get overwhelmed at time but that can happen at a normal job as well.
My kids recently just started “school”/Daycare for the first time ever about two months ago because I started an in-home bakery so it’s been a bit strange but it’s nice to have my own time and they’re able to socialize and learn some other things.

I worked since i was 9-30. Got pregnant and have been a SAHM for 5 years. I can’t wait to go back to work!!! I love my kids, but being at home also burns me out.
How are we all affording life on SMP?!!? I was on 32k a year and now on £194.32 a week! I’m finding it so difficult to pay bills and also all the stuff my baby needs! As well with xmas coming up!

My husband has sent me many many many videos every day explaining why women should have sex with there husband how it’s the only way they know we love them but what about all the shit I do every day for him that should count for showing my love like how i make him a fresh meal when he gets home from work how i make him so tea when he’s sick to feel better how i make sure our son is always with me and taken care of so he doesn’t have to worry and can come home and rest how I go out of my way every day to see him on lunch so we can spend time together how i plan all the dates we have every been on and pay for all of them how I buy him anything he wants because I love him how I worked every single day when I was pregnant and even went into labor at work finished my shift drove myself how and then went to the hospital to have the baby ( he was not working at this point). Then went back to work when I was cleared to do so work all the way until he left for basic training (military) quit my job to take care of our son (what he wanted me to do) and yet I don’t love him because I won’t have sex with him weird. Not needing advice or anything just needed how I felt off my chest because
honestly I’m extremely hurt by him.

Hey! I was wondering, as SAHMs how often are you going out with your little ones?
I try to go out every other day, even if its just walking to the grocery store and stopping at the park on the way, because I'm genuinely always tired and the chores are endless. I don't mind it though. My child is happy and we have still so many indoor activities to try, especially now that it's getting colder. Though people around me are telling me its not normal and I should be out more. (Childless people, mind you.)
