Nights and baby blues

My baby is a week old!
I’m breastfeeding and I just find it so lonely but I love her so much and love spending time with her. I feel like I can only feed and that’s all I do all day. I’m exhausted because nighttime is rough. My partner helps the best he can. The baby blues are hitting and I could cry at anything, missing her even though I’m holding her, not wanting her to grow up, and then anxiety about not having a job. Anyway, I just needed to vent and we all got this!

Hii! I feel you! I was in the same boat. It gets better! My baby is already a month and we survived. Be patient, is ok what you feel. My husband went back to work 3 days after we came back from the hospital and he doesn’t help at nights im all alone. At first i would be mad at him and so sad, now I’ve gotten the hang of it and I feel better. Not going to lie, mornings are hard

I completely understand how you feel! I’m a mom of five, and my youngest is a newborn. Even though I’ve been through this before, it doesn’t make it any easier. Between breastfeeding, sleepless nights, taking care of the other kids, and trying to keep up with everyday responsibilities, it can be physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausting. Sometimes you feel like all you do is feed the baby and take care of everyone else, with barely any time for yourself. I love my babies more than anything, but motherhood can definitely feel lonely and overwhelming at times. I’m also learning that it’s okay to have those moments and feel those emotions. We can love our babies with everything in us and still feel exhausted. But I promise, mama, these hard days won’t last forever. You’re doing so much more than just feeding your baby. You’re her comfort, her safe place, and her whole world right now. Even on the days when you feel like you haven’t accomplished anything, you’ve done something amazi

Even on the days when you feel like you haven’t accomplished anything, you’ve done something amazing just by being there for her. Give yourself grace, take it one day at a time, and remember that you’re growing into this new version of yourself right alongside your baby. You’re stronger than you realize, and you’re doing better than you think. We’ve got this, mama! ❤️💕

I feel the same way. Every day around 6-7 pm I start feeling incredibly lonely and sad. I try to hold it in as much as I can but will break into tears more often than not. Hang in there, there is light at the end of the tunnel…

Totally been there. I did it all by myself and felt like I wouldn’t survive sometimes. It gets better just try to enjoy your baby while they’re so little it goes by fast. If all you do feed your child that’s pretty damn amazing they are very needy and just want you close all that other stuff can wait.

Thanks everyone so much. I don’t know how I used to stay up until 4 am with pregnancy insomnia and now I could sleep any moment but can’t.

Insomnia one year PP

Hi, just wondering if anyone else is suffering with insomnia. I’m one year PP, my son hasn’t yet slept through the night so we’re still waking quite a bit. I can fall asleep but once I’ve been awake too many times that’s it I’m awake then. I was awake from 1:30-7am last night and I’ve had just under 3 hours tonight. I just cannot get back to sleep and I think I might go crazy. I’ve tried staying off my phone, putting something on to help me sleep but nope. I just lie there wide awake. I don’t drink much caffeine through the day now either. Any tips or tricks? Or do I just need to accept my fate.

Exhausted

I feel like I am about to burn out, I don’t get any time at all where I can switch off, I don’t get a break and I feel awful saying that, she is my child so obviously I should be the one to care for her.
My partner goes to the football every week, he plays on his Xbox at home and gets his own free time, I get none, I don’t get to go out without her.
My parents don’t seem to want her now that she’s now a sleepy newborn anymore.

She is an awful sleeper so I barely sleep and I just feel like I’m about to completely burn out 😢

Want to give birth again

Ok maybe I’m psychotic, but had a VBAC as always wanted to experience birth, and it was traumatic and incredibly painful, as expected. Yet the power and intensity of that moment when you have gone through all of the pain to be passed the most precious little thing in the world. It’s incredible. Only plan on having two kids so not going to go through it again but feeling sad that il never experience this again. Am I crazy? Or is this relatable at all?

Sweep

Had my first sweep done yesterday at 38 weeks and had the tiniest amount of light blood that disappeared and the odd period like cramps. They got worse overnight but still like intense period like cramps that I did struggle with when moving around in bed or getting up to go to the bathroom but have disappeared now it’s morning. It was probably about 17/18 hours ago I had my sweep and the midwife said I was 1cm dilated, my cervix was about a 2/3 and my bishops score was about a 3/4 out of 10. Is this normal? My first was a planned section due to complications but this time round there have been none.

1st Birthday Party, but with more adults than kids

We're thinking we want to invite Aunties/Uncles, Grandparents, friends etc to celebrate, but with it being January there would be nowhere near enough space in our house to host. We also don't just want to have an adult party in a pub, or a kids party with more adults than children in a soft play, so we're finding it really tricky to figure out how to have a children's party with some entertainment, but also cater for a lot of adults mingling. Does anyone have any ideas?

We're in the South West London area if anyone has a specific venue to mention.
