Did you or did you not take your toddler to the hospital after you had your second?

We are trying to cement our decision on how we are wanting to handle the birth of our second. And we unfortunately don't have a village or any family coming to help. So we have to decide between a sitter or if my husband is going to take care of her. But I am wondering if its a good idea to bring her to the hospital or if it might be an easier transition if we just have her meet the baby at home.

My eldest met baby in the hospital. He was shown photos which he made his decision that he wanted a dog not a brother. Then wasnt fussed by him. Took better to him at home. With our third, they met at different times at the hospital and then met her better at home

My almost two year old was fast asleep in one room and i was giving birth in the next room with midwives. My husband would go check in on the other one. Haha. Had it all ready. We called our emergency contacts- both of them. No one answered in the middle of the night. So glad i had the room ready for home birth!

Met baby at home. My toddler / baby was 14 months old. He was definitely not ready.

Hospital because we stayed overnight. If we'd got home same day we'd have waited. But you know your child best and if they'll be more upset leaving you it might be best they dont visit.

Yes we did and it was the most beautiful thing. He just cuddled me and baby in the bed the whole time. He was so happy not to feel left out at home during those 2 days.

We brought our second home to meet 16 month old brother. We felt having a familiar environment would be better especially because I had to stay the night at the hospital and my toddler would have freaked out if he came to visit and got ripped away from me. Wanted to make it as calm of an introduction as possible. We also FaceTimed and showed baby pictures while we were gone so he was still kind of involved but not upset. It was really hard being away from him for the night though. I had never spent a night away from him.

My toddler was 17 months so she stayed home and they met at home. If she was more aware, closer to 2 or 3, I might have made a diff choice

She met him at home, in her PJs in bed with a little present from him.

I stayed in hospital 2 nights but tbh she enjoyed time with her grandma and it was the only time we had alone with him to recover and bond before we went into the real world.

C-section - 3 weeks

Hey mums😊Is anyone else struggling with how their C-section looks? I feel like mine has created this little shelf that makes my lower belly stick out and the area right above my vagina look puffy or fat. Almost like my stomach and pubic area form a “B” shape.
It’s not that noticeable but I can notice it 😩 I don’t know if I’m explaining it properly, but it’s really messing with how I feel about my body.
Does anyone else have this?
Does it go away?
Any suggestions, products or anything that could help?
I understand I’m 3 weeks post surgery and all, so is still healing and my body is recovering.

Hot Cocoa and coffee or Carnival 🎡

So my sons 1st birthday is coming up and I wanted to do either hot cocoa and coffee or carnival theme for his birthday. My friend thinks that the hot cocoa and coffee is not kid friendly and isn’t a good idea and feels like it’s my idea for myself but I selected that as a choice because he’s a winter baby. It’s something warm and fun! She thinks k should do the carnival instead but I’m not really leaning towards that. Idk what do you guys think?
