One thing I never really expected about turning 30 was how lonely this chapter of life could sometimes feel. Not because I don’t have people who love me, but because I don’t necessarily have friendships or connections with people who are in the same season of life as me.
Over the years, a lot of friendships have naturally faded, while others ended because I realized they weren’t the kind of friendships I wanted or deserved. And while I’ve made peace with that, it doesn’t mean I don’t sometimes miss having genuine girlfriends to talk to, laugh with, make plans with, and just feel understood by.
Even within family, I sometimes find myself in a different age group or stage of life, and although I love the people around me, there are moments when I feel a little misunderstood or out of place.
I think there’s something about being 30 that makes you realize how much you value meaningful connections. I’m not interested in having a huge circle or friendships just for the sake of saying I have friends. I want genuine people, mutual effort, kindness, and friendships where I can simply be myself.
I’m incredibly grateful for the love and life I’m building, but I also think it’s okay to acknowledge that you can be happy with your life and still wish you had a few more people to share it with.
Maybe this is just part of growing up. Learning that some people are only meant for certain chapters, while still hoping the next chapter brings friendships that feel like home. ❤️

I feel you! It's true though about getting older and wiser. Also we are all on different paths and sometimes like you said they don't align with who we are now. You really do find out who your true friends are and getting older it's hard to make new connections because now we've learned our boundaries and limits with who we associate ourselves with. But hey, as long as we've got one true friend, that's all we need.

I feel the exact same way ❤️

I feel the exact same way xx

Omg you could have read my mind!!! I’m in the exact same position!!!!

I just turned thirty yesterday and it feels exactly like you described it. I think it’s hard too cause all of my other friends don’t have any babies yet so it’s just hard to go out with them now.

It felt like I'd written that myself. Its definitely hard to come to terms with. Im making it my mission to put myself out there to look for some new connections. Its exhausting a bit like dating but even just a couple of good friendships would be so worth it. I dont think it has to stay like this forever it might just be a transition period and we need to put our big girl pants on and put the graft in for the next chapter
Hey! Just wanted help navigating this. Ever since we found out I'm pregnant he has not wanted sex at all. It's been a few weeks and I finally asked him and he just says that he feels weird about pregnancy sex. He says especially once the baby gets big and will be moving around. I'm only 6 weeks along and currently it doesn't look like I'm pregnant but he still seems completely turned off. I want to be respectful but also I don't want to go 9 months without any intimacy. It feels like I'm being punished and then I feel like he might go find someone else to have sex with who's not pregnant, you know? Maybe that's an irrational fear but it's making me spiral a bit.

Hey girlies, anyone around Katy? I can use some friends I’m literally friendless since I left all my friends and my family behind and came to America, I could use some company, I love watching kdrama, movies, Netflix, don’t let me start with food, I’m a foodie 😂 we can always chill at my place (I have two cats they’re friendly) and my baby is 7 months old boy you can bring your child over and let them be friends, we can go grab some boba coffee or anything really and talk and vent about our life and have some great moment together! Dm me❤️
