Hi, I’m 34 weeks with my 3rd child, I’m wanting to exclusively breastfeed this time, with my other two I comb fed. I really want my partner to feed them to, so starting out.. when do I pump and when do I feed from the boob?

Pump after feeding when bubba is finished feeding the leftover will add up x or if baby is satisfied feeding on one side, pump the other while feeding from one and alternate x

I would look at midwife megan’s instagram as she has posts on this! She is a lactation consultant. Important not to overdo the pumping and induce an oversupply as it can make feeding difficult (currently going through this now) xx

I second buying a Haakaa. When you feed baby on one side, pop it on the other side to catch the let down. It’ll draw enough out for a few bottles in the early days, and won’t cause your body to make loads extra.
With my first, we just introduced a bottle in the night time and I fed the rest of the time as we didn’t want to confuse my body too much.
Once your supply is well established, you can introduce a proper pump into your routine, and as Laura said, there’s are a few midwives/ lactation consultants online who give some amazing advice and recommend routines. Just make sure they are properly ibclc (or whatever it is 🤣) certified.
If breastfeeding when did you guys have your first drink since having bubba? I’m combi-feeding baby girl is 13 weeks and not sure when it’s okay to have a drink x

My son is 14 months old. He's ALWAYS hated the pram, since newborn. However, separation anxiety has peaked big time and now he just screams and cries in the pram... Unless we hold hands
Now, this is a difficult task when it's just me but if my partner is pushing I can walk beside and we hold hands. I'm not fussed about it but my partner thinks I'm giving in every time he cries and reaches out for me which is creating a bad habit.
My thought is one day he won't want to hold my hand🥺 he won't reach out for me so why would I deny the comfort he's searching for in that moment
Can someone reassure me that I'm not creating a bad habit.

Just need opinions on if I’m being irrational about the safety of my 7 month old son. I’m a first time single mum. His dad is having knee reconstruction surgery and I’m worried about his visits during his recovery. He lives with his 75 year old mum, a dachshund who is a handful and had visits from his 13 year old daughter twice a week. They’re in a 3 story house, but he’s confirmed moved everything for our son downstairs. He will be on crutches and no idea how long recovery is, or when physio will start and has been very vague about everything regarding his recovery, saying the hospital hasn’t given him any information. So I arranged for health visitor to go and see what she thought. He kept saying his mum might be busy that day (she doesn’t get out as hip and knee mobility issues so I was suspicious of this). On the day of the visit where I wanted HV to see how his mum handled Harrison, she conveniently had a doctors appointment at the time of the visit, so she couldn’t check how she was lifting and carrying Harrison. He has told health visitor that his sister who attended the appointment will be helping during his recovery and that he would be out of action for the first week. When he dropped our son back, he said his sister works, so couldn’t be there all the time and that he wants him the first week. I have stood my ground and said we will be going by what you have told the health visitor. He’s also confirmed he will be on crutches. I’m just worried about our son’s safety with being dropped, or someone tripping over the dog, not getting to him in time if in danger or choking. I was told by him to “trust me” and painted as a controlling mum constantly. Just doesn’t feel right to “give in” and accept potentially he isn’t safe just to keep the peace 😔

My in laws come over every Friday evening and so my husband doesn’t want to ruin their time with his parents so bedtime isn’t until 9/9.30pm. This is every week. Would you be ok with this? We have an almost 4 year old, 2.5 year old and 8 month old so it’s a tough juggle.

I am struggling... i don't remember it being this difficult with my first born a few years ago, why is it so hard this time around?
I love my baby, but I miss my old life so much. I miss being able to give my first born any attention whatsoever, I miss being able yo leave the house quickly, I miss feeling normal...
I just needed to vent... i know its hard and postpartum is not easy, but this is making me question my sanity.
