Hi,
Can someone please reassure me things will get better. My newborn is only 5 days old and will not do more than about an hours stretch in the moses basket/next to me on a night time. He’s formula fed and feeding well so it’s not a hunger wake. He is generally not very fussy and will happily be asleep on us for hours on end. During the day he will happily be put down while we get on with things.
I know they have no regulation of night and day and no circadian rhythm at this age but my first son could go around 3 hour stretches and would be put back down after a feed. He is typically a good sleeper and always has been luckily.
I have NO issue with my baby wanting comfort and to be close to his mummy after being in the womb for so long and me and my husband are taking shifts so we are surviving I am just after reassurance that this is normal and it will improve after a few weeks/months rather than him being a terrible sleeper?!

It’ll get better babe… in a few months potentially

It improves!!! It gets better. He learns to sleep alone. Cherish these moments. Right now you think your whole life will be like this and you’re panicking but it won’t! It’ll fly by. Let him nap on you all day and sleep on you at night. Turn on some good tv. Find a peanut friend in the same position as you. Vent about it, cry!! But it’ll get better and guess what you’ll miss it. ❤️good luck mama

You can always chest sleep or co sleep so that you get some longer stretches
My son is 14 months old. He's ALWAYS hated the pram, since newborn. However, separation anxiety has peaked big time and now he just screams and cries in the pram... Unless we hold hands
Now, this is a difficult task when it's just me but if my partner is pushing I can walk beside and we hold hands. I'm not fussed about it but my partner thinks I'm giving in every time he cries and reaches out for me which is creating a bad habit.
My thought is one day he won't want to hold my hand🥺 he won't reach out for me so why would I deny the comfort he's searching for in that moment
Can someone reassure me that I'm not creating a bad habit.

Just need opinions on if I’m being irrational about the safety of my 7 month old son. I’m a first time single mum. His dad is having knee reconstruction surgery and I’m worried about his visits during his recovery. He lives with his 75 year old mum, a dachshund who is a handful and had visits from his 13 year old daughter twice a week. They’re in a 3 story house, but he’s confirmed moved everything for our son downstairs. He will be on crutches and no idea how long recovery is, or when physio will start and has been very vague about everything regarding his recovery, saying the hospital hasn’t given him any information. So I arranged for health visitor to go and see what she thought. He kept saying his mum might be busy that day (she doesn’t get out as hip and knee mobility issues so I was suspicious of this). On the day of the visit where I wanted HV to see how his mum handled Harrison, she conveniently had a doctors appointment at the time of the visit, so she couldn’t check how she was lifting and carrying Harrison. He has told health visitor that his sister who attended the appointment will be helping during his recovery and that he would be out of action for the first week. When he dropped our son back, he said his sister works, so couldn’t be there all the time and that he wants him the first week. I have stood my ground and said we will be going by what you have told the health visitor. He’s also confirmed he will be on crutches. I’m just worried about our son’s safety with being dropped, or someone tripping over the dog, not getting to him in time if in danger or choking. I was told by him to “trust me” and painted as a controlling mum constantly. Just doesn’t feel right to “give in” and accept potentially he isn’t safe just to keep the peace 😔

My in laws come over every Friday evening and so my husband doesn’t want to ruin their time with his parents so bedtime isn’t until 9/9.30pm. This is every week. Would you be ok with this? We have an almost 4 year old, 2.5 year old and 8 month old so it’s a tough juggle.

My 7 week old daughter is an absolute dream, she doesn't cry (just shouts when she's hungry) very alert, happy and content, just an absolute pleasure to be around. Now I know how incredibly lucky I am with her but does any other mum with a similar baby struggle mentally? There's so many what ifs going through my mind and I'm scared to death she might change and start screaming, some days i feel sick with anxiety and nothing has actually happened? I'm driving myself crazy and scaring myself with thoughts of not being able to cope. I feel ridiculous because I know a lot of mums on here are seriously going through it and I have no idea how you manage xx

Hi! I am looking for a baby doll for my daughter. I would prefer it be something that she can take into the bath with her. Thank you in advance!
