Newly pregnant!

I currently have a 5 year old and she’s been begging for a sibling for years! Well we finally conceived! After trying for almost 2 years. I’m just wondering how long did you guys decide to wait to tell your little ones? I know my girl will be so happy I want to wait until first ultrasound but that seems so farrrr I’m terrible at keeping secrets I’m worried I’m gonna say baby or pregnant infront of her to many times by accident 😅 I told my fiance will just put in back of minds for now so we don’t spill but that’s a little hard obviously lol

Sneak Peek?

Has anyone ever done the sneak peek test before and it was wrong? I just got my result today and it said boy, I’m only 9 weeks but did the early test, they say there always a chance of male dna contamination and I did mess up two steps but I made sure to sanitize everything , I just don’t know if I can trust it. I have my NIPT in a couple weeks where I’ll have verification but for now I’m wondering if this is a true boy result since I can’t be sure there wasn’t any male dna contamination.

Second baby

Advice on second baby , when is the right time to start trying my daughter is going to be 1 next week and want advice on when to start trying for a second when is the right time and good amount of age gap between the 2 I would like to have a boy as then I have 1 of each but I’m happy either way I just would like 2 children just really scared. ! , as not to blow my own trumpet but the pregnancy went well with her i had a planned c section and that was all fine no complications or any problems, she was healthy and all fine and she’s just been the best baby she has slept for 12 hours a night from the age of 2 months she’s eating well she’s just perfect I’m just worried about the next baby the pregnancy or the birth something will be wrong or something could happen . Advice please and your own experiences

Anyone else struggling with deciding when to have 2nd child?

Or if you already have then how did you know you felt ready/ it was the right time. My husband is ready to try in the next few months if I am ready but I really can't decide what age gap I want. I feel the decision for me is complicated by previous baby loss, difficult pregnancy and traumatic birth and complications after birth...
I definitely know i want a sibling for my child and I'm not done yet but its more a matter of when?!

Gestational Hypertension

I’m FTM at 38 weeks today + nearly 40 years old. My blood pressure has been fine throughout the pregnancy mostly 110/70. I went for my routine midwife appointment and it was 145/90 for the first time during pregnancy. I was sent to the hospital for further monitoring and blood/urine tests as they suspected preeclampsia, the results came back fine so now they think it’s only gestational hypertension that needs monitoring. If it was preeclampsia they did mention they could have induced me today. Now I’ve just been asked to come back for further bp monitoring on Monday. What should I expect? I have been monitoring it at home and it’s still high so in panic mode..

The audacity 🤣

I am pregnant with baby number two. I am currently 25 weeks pregnant along with having a three year-old boy. My fiancé had the audacity to tell me that he wants to get me pregnant again next year when I’m already going to have our second son in January of next year. 🤣 I told this man straight up hell naw I’m already going to have a baby along with a toddler. Do you really think I wanna be pregnant in the same year I gave birth to our second child give me a chance to feel like my body is my own again damnit 🤣😭🤣. I thought it was funny. I just had to share this.

2nd pregnancy

Im currently 2 months pregnant with my second baby. My first was an emergency section at 41+5 and I really struggled afterwards mentally.

January babies

I just turned 17 in September I’m pregnant with baby #2 and I got rid of my first baby boys clothes due to him turning 2 next month I’m having a baby shower but I don’t talk to many people and I’m having some pregnancy complications so I’m worried I won’t be able to get everything I need my fiancé works I do not due to health reasons and my first son being home and with my first sons birthday being next month and trying to get everything set up for my second baby it’s kinda stressing me out this time around because I may have a December baby rather then a January baby

Can anyone give any advice on what it’s like going from one to two? My boy is 1 and I’m pregnant and panicking about not wanting him to feel left out but also wanting to give enough attention to my other baby!

Antibiotics?

Hi, im 11 weeks pregnant and take immunosuppressives for a pre existing condition.
I've gotten a cheat infection this week and my GP has put me on penicillin antibiotics...is there any risks I should be looking out for?

Anyone else miss that magical feeling of being pregnant & giving birth?

I wish I could go back to those days of having midwife appointments & scans & even giving birth, I loved it all. Baby is now a month old & those feelings have worn off & im just tired & stressed & emotional all the time. Which is weird because when I was pregnant, these were the days I was dreaming of. But now I’m dreaming of those days again. The buildup & excitement.

Blood pressure

Anyone in here dealt with high BP/pre E? Would love to hear your experience. For the last few weeks I’ve been getting these weird episodes where I’m doing something and my head will start pounding, face gets hot, and chest feels weird and tight and then it’ll go away after I sit for a few min. I got a home BP cuff and started checking during these episodes and sure enough my BP has been spiking. It’s usually only my diastolic that spikes and goes anywhere from 89-108, and my systolic always stays either low or slightly elevated but never above 140. I thought maybe my home cuff was off so I went to Walmart and checked on Tuesday and got a reading of 137/91, so I went to OB triage that night just to be send home an hour later after fine readings after I was there resting. I’m confused why only my diastolic seems to be spiking and why only when I try and do things, and yet my BP is totally normal when at rest. Has anyone dealt with this before?
