Going on Holiday advice single mum

I would really love to get away for a bit but it would just be me and my 11 month old.. Ideally I'd like to go on a little trip to Spain but I'm so scared to do it alone with the bubs. How have other single mums faired with a baby this small? Please no judgement for being a single mum, my ex has stepped away due to...

AITA for asking my parents to leave?

I’ll try to make this as brief as possible but basically my parents live 90 mins away and in my final weeks of pregnancy with my 3rd child my mom had the idea to book a hotel in our area around the time I went into labor/delivered my baby. The plan was for them to book a kid-friendly hotel with a pool for 2 nights s...

Days out

Hi everyone, I have an 8 month old and I feel like I’m not doing enough with him to stimulate his brain, are there any recommendations for days out in Southampton that are fairly cheap as I had to leave my job last year due to my pregnancy causing complications at work. Thank you in advance !! 🫶🏻

Being in a flat can suck as no garden, but thought I would set up on the path outside and the kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves 🥰🩷🩷

Ten year old and screens

So my ten year old is obsessed with screens. Music, gaming and YouTube. He wants to have a career in all that, it's all he cares about. It's pretty much the only thing his dad is into as well and they have always bonded through gaming so I know it's special to them and can't just take it away which makes it soo hard...

What are we doing for our toddlers in the car.. I live in a rural area so we do a lot of commuting, usually in the car for at least 20 minutes when we go anywhere.. my son has always been good in the car but lately he’s been soooo messy with his snacks I think I’m going to cut back on car snacks. & it’s hard to keep...

Wwyd ?

My kids got in trouble at daycare yesterday because another girl touched my oldest kids hair and she pushed her down then my other kid pushed her too because she seen her sister do it 🤦🏾‍♀️😭😂 Now Nola (oldest) knows she’s not supposed to hit people first and she should have told her to get her hands off her hair…

Check in

How is everyone doing with their walking? I will start trying to check in at least once to twice a week. Please feel free to check in and update us on how you are doing in reaching your goals. I'm not doing well, I have missed my walk the past few days but will try to walk more consistently this weekend and next week.

Hitting Kids back?

Say your kid hits you and at times often. What do you do to correct it? How can you teach them the consequences of hitting others if you don’t hit them back? Not terribly or super hard but enough to say this is what happens when you hit and how it feels. How about if your child hit someone else (adult or child) ...

Spring Time Activities

Hello! I see this group hasn't been active in awhile and I am relatively new to the area. Does anyone have any spring time festivities they know are coming up?

Do you think your 4 year old could figure out how to get somewhere that takes 20 minutes walking?

My son got his shoes and jacket on, took my hand and took me on a walk to a store 20 minutes away, right into the store, straight to where the candy is. I didn't guide him at all. He got kind of mixed up for 2 minutes but he directed us back the right way. He can't talk but he can really remember how to get places.
