Car seats

My little one is 18 months old, we have followed the car seat fitting guidance to the letter but her legs seem really cramped up in her seat. She is still rear facing and we have removed any of the newborn/smaller baby cushions that were part of the seat.

Is anyone else having this issue? We have a Cosatto and joie one .. the Cosatto one isn’t too bad but the joie one seems like she has less space.

Any advice/guidance would be appreciated 😀

Bulky travel systems? Buy or skip?

We went to explore pushchairs at mamas and papas and they really seem to encourage you to buy the ocarro package which is 12kg + and bulky once folded. Are these realistic to use post 6 months or is it better to go with something like Joolz/Nuna which are most compact but less sturdy I guess.

Stroller/Car Seat

I have an 18m and a newborn. I am looking into getting a tandem stroller for them (rn I’ve been baby carrying). I need suggestions on strollers. Preferably one that fits a car seat as well. However, my infants car seat expires in December and I am looking into a new one of those. Rn he has the graco one that has buckets that just click in which I really like. However I know when he turns one he goes into a different car seat anyway. Are there any car seats that have buckets that grow with the child? I’m specifically looking into Target bc my goal is to exchange everything during their fall car seat exchange.

TV!

Guys what are we doing about having the TV on? 😂 I’ve always liked having the TV on for background noise but now I can’t stop my 8 month old from looking at it! What is everyone else doing?

Car journey advice

My 14 week old hates the car seat, she will fall asleep in the car but for short periods. As soon as she wakes up she will immediately start screaming/crying and it is very very hard to get her calm. She will often push herself like she’s trying to get out of the car seat. She doesn’t like being restricted or restrained and has always been like this (not a fan of being held too much, hates swaddles etc). I’ve checked that we are using the car seat correctly and we are. We have lots of car journeys coming up this week as we have weddings to attend, I’m super anxious as although we are going to stop at services we have some 3/4 hour journeys to come. Does anyone have any advice or do I just have to accept it?! I find it so hard when she is staring and screaming/ crying at me and I can’t do anything to help and I can’t take her out of the seat…..

Baby carrier

We are going on holiday with our 5 month old and we are planning on getting a carrier for around the airport. I’ve never used a carried for my LO, she’s quite a small baby but is very nosey and is desperate to look around everywhere.

What would be everyone’s recommendations for a carrier that’s quite comfy for travelling? TIA
