How long did it take everyone else after they stopped breastfeeding to get their period back? I know it’s different for everyone and can even come back while breastfeeding. I stopped breastfeeding almost 2 weeks ago and just want to be prepared!
I’m currently 2 weeks into trying to dry up my breast milk. I was pumping 30 minutes every 3-4 hours, about 5 or 6 times a day. Now I’m down to 20 minutes every 5-6 hours, about 3 times a day. And I feel like I am not drying up…I cannot go cold turkey because unfortunately I am prone to mastitis because I clog very ...
has anyone successfully gave their babies formula during the day and breastfed at night? i want to do that for my next baby but im worried it won’t work. i would do it the other way around but i dont think my milk is that nutritious but i still want to breastfeed to prevent breast cancer
I’m still breastfeeding my year old baby but right now she’s sick with a cold. She also has a wet cough and has been very clingy to me. A little lethargic and lost her appetite. She hasn’t been eating well but will taste little nibble of some food. However she’s eating my breastmilk just fine. It’s been almost a wee...
To all the EBF mamas what are your plans for returning back to work? I EBF but I don't pump so baby is used to being attached to my boob. He also refuses dummies/pacifers and uses the boob as comfort and to top it all he only wants to contact naps during the day unless we're travelling somewhere. I'm due back at w...
How do I go about stopping my supply? Been exclusively pumping for 6 weeks and I’m over it now, we’re moving to formula. I’m going longer in between pumps but omg I get sooooooo sore. Any tips greatly appreciated
Anyone not managed their first time trying but then been successful another time. I’ve just tried to harvest colostrum for the first time and didn’t manage any. I followed all of the instructions (warm, relaxed, dark room) but nothing. I know something’s working in there as my boobs have leaked tiny amounts for mont...
Hi, I am expressing breast milk as my little boy who is 4 weeks wasn't latching onto the boob. I am expressing 5/6 times per day but the health visitor advised to increase this to 10-12 times per day. However, I'm trying to find the time to do this as well as balancing life with looking after an 18 month old too. Al...
How do I increase milk supply as a just enough HELP!!!
My little boy is EBF but will occasionally have a bottle of my milk if I’m nipping out for an hour, but I find seeing him drink from a bottle, even though it’s my milk, so so upsetting?! I absolutely hate it, I can’t explain why but it makes me so sad. Is anyone else like this? I know it’s silly 😥
Bit baffled – still no period and it’s been 11 months since bub arrived. Been breastfeeding exclusively. Anyone else in the same boat? Any advice or experiences to share?
Ok so maybe I'm overthinking, but I've researched into sugar intake and breastfeeding and it says it can affect baby cognitively. Since breastfeeding, I have been eating soooo many sugary things because I'm hungry all the time, or for a midnight snack etc and now I've read stuff that's worrying me! Am I overthinking 😳
4 months old ..Sometimes he refuse one side of the breast,if my milk is full or at the end its slow he becomes fussy and not feed again next breast ..i feel like he’s not getting enough milk as he’s only feeding from one side and fussy and refuses the next..is there any tips or is it because he is at the stage of gr...
I exclusively pump every 3-4 hours and bottle feed which worked out a lot better for me vs the pains and struggles with breastfeeding. Let's just say my mental health needed to switch over and it goes well. My son also sleeps for 11 hours so I no longer need to wake up in the night to pump. The problem is that I onl...
Baby fusses so much in evening struggles to latch and gets so upset. Really stresses me out I end up giving a bottle because I can’t cope.. I can do it through the day but come evening I can’t satisfy her, it’s really effecting my mental health I just end up crying. I just don’t know why she’s struggling to latch or...
I didn’t breastfeed with my first baby, however I’m wanting to give breastfeeding a go with my second who’s due in August. I originally wanted to go down the route of combining breastfeeding & pumping so that I can keep a stash of milk in the fridge (in sterilised bags) so that my partner can also help feed the ba...
i’d like to know your opinions on this. at what age is it socially acceptable to stop breastfeeding? what’s the age where it starts to be unacceptable/weird?
I hear all these good things about glp1s and interested but I’m breast feeding so idk if it is even an option anyone know?
Was planning on getting some to go in my hospital bag, but the midwife said if I plan on breast feeding to not bother with getting any as I will have colostrum for those first few days but I thought they were good as back up. Just wondered what everyone else is doing?
Any tips that worked for you? Or best bottle to try? I’ve tried Mam, tommee tippee and nuk but absolute refusal or just spits out any that goes in. I will continue to breastfeed and want to pump a bottle as I go back to work in July so she’ll need to be using bottles at nursery.
