My partner wants to take me to Jamaica for my 33rd birthday. But im having trouble finding a sitter. My granma, who is 71, volunteered to watch her. I'm nervous that my granma will have a hard time keeping up with the baby. She has been the baby once a week already but never 4 days in a row. I really want to go on this trip without my daughter, but i feel so guilty for saying that. I don't really have anyone to watch her. So, we may just go with her. Btw we do plan on traveling with her in the future. I just wanted to enjoy this trip and be a bad girl lol.

If you bring baby, you probably wouldn’t enjoy. Beach + very young babies = a nightmare for ME. I’ve done it once. 😂
I agree with Olivia, but your baby would probably be too young to remember this trip.
Is there somewhere closer you guys could go? Grandma would probably be overwhelmed since she is only used to one day.
Is it possible to bring your grandma to jamaica and she can “nanny” your baby in the hotel?

We’ve taken her to Australia, Barbados and Austria 🏝️ 🍹 ☀️
Amazing fun! Yeah, the flight could be a pain if baby is a bad traveller. Yeah, you don’t get a lie in. BUT the holiday is so worth it. So many beautiful memories and firsts 💜 we did an all inclusive for a week and hired a car, had pina coladas and taught her to walk on the sand, best memory of the year for me.

We went to Vegas with our baby for a wedding I couldn’t leave her with just anyone! She was about 5 months old and did so well on the plane, she didn’t even cry. It wasn’t to bad of a trip.

Yes ive travel to Georgia and Florida with her. She did well on the plane. Its just mama needs a vacation lol. I will take her on more future trips, just this birthday trip I would love some adult time. Thank you ladies ! ❤️

We have traveled... I did a family lake week at 3 months. Husband couldn't come but there were 5+ kids and 20+ adults so I had help.
Christmas we traveled to my parents as well as new Orleans. I'm curious how old baby is... Younger and less mobile can be easier. Cities I find work too cause we can stroller or backpack and still see things.
And no shame on an adults or mama trip. Anyway you can try testing gma for longer to see how she would handle it?

We went a month to Argentina end of year and spent one week at the beach. Both the flight and trip were smooth sailing and wouldn’t change having our baby there for anything.
I think I’d be more nervous that babe is so far wouldn’t be able to enjoy.
Follow whatever your gut is telling you!

@Sharon, yes, Im torn leaving behind as well. I am and have gotten nervous being far away from her for twos. I can't imagine what 4 days would feel like.

she is 18 months
