Helloooo! I'm 22 weeks and have been really struggling with this. At around 10 weeks I started feeling put off by my toothpaste. I pushed through until not long after that, I started throwing up everytime I would brush my teeth. I used arm and hammer and thought maybe it was too strong for my stomach or my senses right now so I tried to switch a couple times. I tried sensodyne, had the same reaction, and tried a bubblegum toothpaste for kids and still the same. I've started not brushing my teeth as often as I should. I used to twice a day almost everyday and now sometimes I'll go a day or two because I just don't want to deal with it. It throws my whole morning off if I throw up, I get a rash and I can't eat anything after that. I also want to include that I've tried different approaches. I've tried brushing on an empty stomach, after only water, a little bit after a meal. None of that seems to have an impact. I hate not brushing my teeth and I know it's more important during pregnancy as well but I don't know what to do here. If anyone has experience or suggestions it would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Yeah, I was like that with both pregnancies. My doctor told me to use children’s toothpaste instead. I couldn’t use adult toothpaste at any time during my first pregnancy. Apparently, my kids didn’t like the mint flavor. Lol.

the kids toothpaste isn't so offensive to my taste but it still isn't good lmao. Maybe I'll try a different one from the bubblegum I have. Thank you!

I used watermelon toothpaste 😂 When I was a kid, we used to brush our teeth with baking soda, maybe you could try that.

I appreciate it! The arm and hammer one that I was originally using was baking soda. It wasn't baking soda alone so maybe I'll give that a try but I definitely have been experiencing an aversion with it. Watermelon sounds good too though 😂

I have this problem. What solved for me was a brand named closys. Barely any foam. I been able to brush mostly twice a day now without throwing up.

Closys makes my favorite mouthwash, it's a great brand

thank you so much! I'll definitely check then out 😊
