Kind of a long rant…
The hubby and I think that maybe we should take our 6 year old to a therapist… he’s always been fairly explosive when he gets angry or frustrated. I’ve tried to have the more gentle parenting approach when he does get like that. I know it takes lots of times, but he usually runs off and screams at us not to talk to him. So we’ve let him be alone till he’s fine and we talk about it. But it’s now becoming where he’s trying to get physical with others, kids his age… both times have been during flag football stuff. I’m at a loss of how to help him with this kind of anger and I don’t want him to keep trying to fight others. When I ask others of what to do and how to help it’s always “stay consistent”, “just hang in there, it’ll get better..”, and so on. So not any actual help. I’m just wondering if others have taken their young kid to a therapist? How did you go about it, through doctor recommendation or find them yourself? Anything would help. Thanks for reading my long rant.

Honestly this sounds just like my little brother. We tried EVERYTHING for him and nothing changed until we started looking at his diet. We cut out dyes and as much altered food as we could and within a week it was like he was a totally different kid. He's 17 now and he's well aware of his sensitivity to dyes and stays clear of them on his own. It can be a hassle but the end result was worth it's weight in gold

this is amazing
