My almost 1 year old baby seems to need almost constant attention. He will independently play for maybe 10 minutes at a time and then whines or cries until I pick him up and/or give him my full undivided attention. Is this normal behavior? He’s my only baby so I’m not sure if this is normal or if he is just a high needs baby? Thanks!

Mine is exactly the same. I think they are going through a big brain development right now. I noticed my guy just needs a lot of stimulating activities to stay interested. I hate to buy more toys so I’m trying to be outside more and let him crawl/explore. It’s exhausting for sure, especially when you have housework to do :) but if it’s something like folding laundry you could try to engage them in it.

My 11 month old is like this. If he plays happily alone for 10 minutes I consider myself lucky. He lasts longer right after naps but later in his wake window he is more needy. He watches me do dishes and we fold laundry together. I’m hoping it’s a phase!

This is happening to me too. Glad to hear I’m not the only one!

Mine does the same too. He is my only child and he always wants our attention doesnt like to play alone
