I'm dead on my feet: my formula-fed 14mo has been having split nights for a month now.
Goes to bed around 7pm and wakes up at 6am. Except for the past 4w+ she's awake *2 TO 3 HOURS EVERY SINGLE NIGHT* 😫 I wish I were exaggerating . . . And she's not hungry, hasn't pooped or anything like this. She just cries until we come comfort her, end up in our bed but is then fully awake and laughing away, etc. for minimum 2h despite no lights on and absolute minimum interaction.
We've tried dropping to one nap the past fortnight (so a 2h afternoon nap) but it's not made any difference.
She just started walking and had two molars cutting through but surely the disruption wouldn't last over a month?
We won't sleep train even though we're mega worried about night sleep as I'm also 8m pregnant. She used to sleep through the night before this regression 😭

I have had the exact same problem! I tried dropping her nap and now she’s back on 2 naps. I’m recently trying to calculate the amount of sleep she has during a 24hour period. Apparently that’s what effects it. So I’m waking her up at 6.30 every morning and capping naps to 2 hours. 30 mins morning hour half afternoon. She’s still waking but it’s not taking as long to get her back to sleep. Could try something similar to this? I found this on you tube. Maybe have a look on there too :) I hope that helps x

My son who is now 5 did this. He used to go through periods of doing it when he was going through big brain development stages. I’m afraid I never found anything that really fixed it but can reassure you it doesn’t last forever and he now sleeps 11-12 hours every night ☺️

Can you push bedtime back?
