Hey All,
I just wanted to leave you all message as it seems we are all going through the same thing at the moment and perhaps we can all share our tips on this post
My little one hasn't been sleeping, at night or for naps, he will eat his food but won't take a bottle
I am 95% sure it is his teeth, it also looks like the pictures below.
Things I'm doing
• placed his cot mattress on the floor so we can semi co-sleep or at least use it for comfort when trying to soothe him
• using his carrier during the day when trying to get him to sleep for his naps to save my arms!
• keeping on top of nurofen every 4 hours
• using ambersol
• using the teetha granules before a bottle (this has been a game changer for us)
• offering him water atleast every 30 minutes as he taking less bottles so want to avoid dehydration
• I've noticed he's been more constipated so we are giving a bath every night, this helps relax his tummy (he is going to the toilet in the bath but I take him out straight away)
• also using a spoonful or two of prunes for constipation
• if he's refusing the bottle on a night time, I wait until he's fallen asleep for 30 minutes and then dream feeds! This is another game changer as he's taking a full bottle!
I hope this helps you all, and don't worry it's only temporary! Xx

Poor wee toot!! This looks so sore. Sounds like you’re doing wonderfully at helping him as best you can- go mama!

We’re have the same issues but no sign of any teeth trying to come through

Supposedly and I don’t know how true this is but a raw egg in a sock hanging out of their bed helps?
Again don’t know how true but I know someone it worked for….

Poor baby looks sore. Sounds like your going above and beyond mama well done you ✨

Well done. Just a little side note.. Nurofen is only supposed to be used every 6 to 8 hours. I don't know if every 4 hours is just in the day but otherwise you might be giving him an overdose of it.

My lg has 4 coming through on the top it’s a nightmare. Problem is she won’t take any medicine. Any tips anyone ?

GP told me every 4 hours because of the amount of pain he's in x

@Dani oh fair enough! I was thinking if every 4 hours for 24 hours it might be too much. I'm sorry to hear he's in so much pain though. It's so hard isn't. I hope the teeth come through soon!

I would ask for suppository baby paracetamol at the GP. They're very common in a lot of European countries and have been a life saver for us.

only just seen this but I actually got some for her as I mentioned that she wouldn’t take it orally.

amazing. Did they prescribe it?

also I hope that your little one feels better soon x

she gave me 10 so not really enough but when I see a nicer one I’ll ask for a repeat lol
