I’m tired of feeling like I’m a single parent. I have a husband who does NO physical help with our 2 toddlers. He doesn’t change a single diaper. He flips out everytime the kids are crying or making loud noises when they’re playing. He makes a mess and doesn’t help clean up! It’s like raising a teenage son. I’m so drained. And everytime I I ask him for help he always tells me “ I got you a house a car what more do you want “ or “ well your a mother “ .. mind you, his only job at work is to drive a truck, delivery. Doesn’t need to load the truck, just sits and drives that’s it.. I don’t even ask him everyday to help because I understand it’s not easy working (even tho his is pretty easy 🙄 but tiring I understand) but days when I do feel overwhelmed once in a while I’ll ask but I get nothing but insults.
I wish I was closer to my family. They live 5 hours away and they’re more help than he is with the kids when we visit or they visit.

you definitely aren’t wrong for feeling that way mama❤️ personally i think he should be helping out, it takes 2 people to make a baby so 2 people have equal responsibility. you are both working the only difference is you don’t get paid :( but our job as SAHM is 24/7 7 days a week with no breaks. some people don’t understand that unfortunately.

You should tell him you need a break and some “me time” and leave him w the kids for 1-2 hours to get a massage or go get your nails done or just even to step out of the house alone. I’m sure he will change his perspective once put in your shoes. I would explain to him (like what was said above) that you don’t get the chance to clock out of being a mom and you both wanted them and both made them so both should be able to care for them. SAHM mom or not. They’re still his responsibility. Period. I’ve been in similar shoes so when I hear guys that act this way to their child/ partner it rlyyy annoys me lol
Just be straight up and say I need help. Daycare workers get paid for watching kids. Bc it’s not easy at all. So the fact that You’re a SAHM isn’t a valid excuse for not getting help from your partner. You’re supposed to depend on each other when things get hard.

I really hope things get better for you 🙏🏽 but I would try to explain nicely what you need from him now rather than when it’s too late and he’s stuck in his ways.

I know how you feel, I’m currently working through a similar thing with my husband….. staying at home is not an easy job at all!

"You're the mother" he's the father too he thinks he just doesn't have to parent cause he sits in a truck all day🙄🙄
