I'm a mum of two, I have a boy who's 3 and a little girl who's 14 months. My partner gets to go darts every Thursday and have some time out from kids and work which I don't blame him but I'm so jealous! (He's also going on his stag do Thursday - Monday) I moved away from my friends and family 6 year ago and don't drive so it's hard to see them when I want to. I have no time for myself, I don't go out, the only me time is when I go to work on a Friday and Saturday and every 3 months when I have my hair done. I was meant to get my hair done 3 weeks ago but due to all of us getting sickness bug I had to cancel it's now booked in again for this Wednesday but my little boy is now poorly (viral infection and tonsillitis) I know he won't be well enough to go to nursery (I wouldn't force him) and my friend can't watch both my children especially when ones poorly so I now can't go for my hair doing. I'm in such desperate need to have that small bit of me time and now it's been cancelled again and I just feel so annoyed that my "me time" has had to take a step back once again. But then I feel so much guilt that I'm upset about it when my boy is poorly! Like how dare I be upset I can't have time for myself when my little one needs me! I don't feel like I can tell anyone as I know I'll be judged for being a horrible mother but my mental health is screaming at me and I can't help but resent my partner for getting to have his me time š

Honestly i would suggest that your partner watches the kids for you to have your hair done hopefully your partner should understand and you wont be out too long but you shouldent feel guilty or upset you have done so much as a mum recently and putting your kids first your boundaries to want a little bit of time to yourself
He's working, my mother in law originally agreed to watch her which is why I booked it in but she now has other plans. Feel like the worst mum being upset about it
