I love to bake & cook. I’m looking for new ideas to challenge me as I turn 30 in 2026, so what is your favorite hobby? Or what’s something you want to try?

Love cooking and baking too although I wouldn’t call it a hobby it’s just every day life but I do put effort into it and I like doing house parties, hosting Xmas and New years etc. and Chinese new year parties. Says you teach dance what dance do you teach? I’ve taken up bachata and salsa lessons for 3yrs now and it’s consumed my life, (Tues and Fri) there’s 3 Latin festivals in Jan/Feb here that I’m looking forward to going to, I go every year, super fun. When I finish my salsa this Aug I want to do kizomba lessons, the dance to Afrobeats. I can’t do that all in the same week currently so I have to wait till I graduate the salsa school in Aug.

I love to read when I get the time! Its a great way to escape reality. Get a nice hot bath ready with salts or bubbles and set some candles out. Most relaxing thing to end a busy day. I also enjoy legos and puzzles.

My favorite hobby is starting new hobbies, lol, but some that don't require you to buy a bunch of new supplies to start or have a lot of prior experience are drawing (charcoal, pencil, ink, etc. They even make sketch books that are almost an art class all by themselves), polymer clay (i just bought a cheap little kids kit to do with my son and it came with 50ish colors and shaping tools. I like to make magnets), painting (watercolor or acrylics are best to start out, oils are pretty involved. You really only need a few colors and can mix everything else yourself). I love crafty, creative things as a form of expression, and none of it has to be GOOD, just fun.
Some hobbies I have been wanting to try are rollerskating, learning to play an instrument, weight lifting, sewing/embroidery, and some paper-based crafts

I dunno if "challenge" is the word for it, but I enjoy diamond painting. It's cathartic and relaxing for me, and a good way to end the day. I do an hour or so after my kid goes to bed most nights. Problem is, you pile up a lot of them and no one really wants the finished products, because the fun part is in making them. xD

I enjoy baking and cooking too. One of the other things i like to do is build mini lego bears

Hobbies are plants 🌱 😅gardening, house plants, herbs, trees (small container tree collection) my little one did a lot of watching momma in the garden last year.
I cycle through other hobbies of crafting and creating.
I would like to take an art class next year for myself an will be attending herbal conferences again :)

I like to read, paint, play video games (can't go wrong with classics like tetris, sonic, etc) and board games....
My daughter likes to sew, draw, create 3D art (using random supplies to create dragons/cats/eyc). I find that last one challenging because you have to not only imagine what you'll create, but you also have to be able to imagine what to can use and how in order to piece things together!!!

Thanks everyone! Great ideas!

I love to crochet 😊
