12 week old crying before naps

In the last week or so my 12 week old has suddenly started crying hysterically when trying to get her to sleep anywhere except the pram. In the pram she will only sleep for 20ish mins at a time but will sleep longer on us when we eventually get her down. She's otherwise always only contact napped but whilst she might fight it and take a while to go down she wouldn't get upset like this. Happens when using white noise and a dim room too. Otherwise she's a pretty happy baby. Has anyone else experienced this and have any tips?

Exactly the same as my LO! He screams his head off before every nap pretty much, contact naps can be anything between 1-2 hours but the minute I put him down I’m lucky to get 30 mins! He does nap longer in his pram but only in the afternoons! Mega exhausting when all you want is a break 🥲

Mine go nuts and screaming like crazy only when I’m trying to put him to sleep when he is overtired. Other than that he goes quick and with no issue.

He only takes 30min naps though. Used to sleep easy 2 hours in the pram but now only half an hour. Contact naps same, only half an hour. Tried everything but nothing works and can’t get longer naps 🥲

partners that work 9-5 shouldn’t have to help out with baby at night

More specifically during night feeds and wakings. Just curious to see.

If so please comment your nightly routines with your babies and partners!

Cheated on while pregnant

Yesterday, I found out my boyfriend was not only mine, but someone else’s. I’m pregnant and so is she. Has anyone else been through this? I literally feel like I’m dying & am scared of the amount of stress all this crying is causing. How do I possible get through this being 5 months ? 🙃

Emotional

I'm 9 days postpartum and feel so overwhelmed. I keep having feelings of not loving my baby and craving my life before him. I am breastfeeding and I feel like this is also really taking a toll on me, although things have improved over the last few days. I seem to have good parts in the day and then around the same time in the late afternoon, I start to feel really sad and teary. I just want to feel 'normal' again and love the newborn bubble.

3 month sleep regression

My 3 month old is up every hour recently! Is this common? Is it normal? Please tell me I'm not alone in this ...

Sleep training

Since she is going through the 4-month sleep regression, we decided to try sleep training because I really want her to learn how to self-soothe and put herself back to sleep.

We tried the Ferber method. We let her cry for 3 minutes, then went in and tried to calm her down. She cried for another 5 minutes, so we went in again to try to settle her, and then stopped after another 3 minutes because she was crying so much and was making herself almost sick.

The main problem we have is that she wakes up almost every hour at night and wants to breastfeed for comfort so she can fall back asleep. I just want her to learn how to self-soothe and connect her sleep cycles.

But honestly, the sleep training felt so cruel. Even when we went in to comfort her, I couldn't really calm her down.

Has anyone had a similar experience? What worked for you? Should I try sleep training again tomorrow, or give her a break and try a different approach?
