So my partner planned a guy’s trip to Miami. We live on the west coast. This wasn’t like a last minute trip he spoke to me about it a month or two in advance to see if I’d be okay if he went. My Bestie was telling me if it were her she wouldn’t let him go. Her reasons both his friends are single and he’d be leaving me home with a toddler by myself. I told her how I went on a trip last year by myself to see my brother in Montana and she pointed out that’s different since it is my brother. She seems to think that I don’t have a tight enough leash on my guy. The only thing I told him before he left is text me a little bit throughout the day a few times and video call at least once a day so our baby can talk to their dad also to keep his location on only for safety reasons. They don’t have any plans or anything while they are there when he did call last time he was at the pool with his friends and their room mates I think? Would you girls be fine if your man took a guys trip like this? Am I too laxed with him?

I think each person has to gage on what boundaries to set in their relationships and what works for them. If you were ok… and are ok… no need to get worked up. You guys seem to be fine communicating and u had no pause or reservations so…

My husband doesn't feel the need to go on a "guys trip," so he says. he has expressed to me that he would rather share those memories with his family, and if his friends want to come, then they can bring their families, and we can all go together. I also like going on trips, so I'd feel left out of the fun if I wasn't at least invited. But that's just me. If you dont have a problem with it, then that's your business.

I mean, you have his location. I think that leash is tight enough 💁🏻♀️ we don’t have our locations on one another, we just communicate where we are what we’re doing who we’re with. He doesn’t have a leash on me nor me on him. As long as we don’t step out and disrespect each other in the marriage, we can each go where we like. My Hubbys’ friends are all married or taken though, the single ones are single dads he doesn’t have any singe guy friends. Last time he went on a Bucks weekend in Bali the most exciting thing happened for them was the groom drinking beer out of his own shoe as a dare lmao. I trust him he trusts me we’re each our own person within the marriage, we just do life together but we can’t tell each other no if they are plans or an invite. Every relationship works different so don’t compare and do what you are comfortable with and what your gut is telling you.

Yes I’m fine with him taking guys trips. He does it every year and please believe so do I. You should continue to do what you feel most comfortable with. A leash is for an animal. You clearly trust him, you’ve got reasonable boundaries in place, don’t let anyone put those types of questions in your mind.
I trust that my husband isn’t going to do anything shady like cheat or anything. His friend moved over there to Miami and I was telling him it might be a good opportunity to scope out and see if he likes the state. Both friends that he went with are very involved in our family and all know he’s a doting father as well as the friends are so to speak uncle figures to our toddler. I think we have pretty good communication. My husband doesn’t really drink or smoke or anything either. My friend just sometimes makes me second guess. She also has issues that I pay for the bills saying he should step up and he should be paying for everything it’s a whole thing lol. He pays his fair share with car insurance and when we go on trips or even if I tell him I want or need anything he buys it. We roughly make the same amount of money. To her I think she thinks my marriage is crazy since I’m so trusting and relaxed with him and I don’t make him pay for everything

We have 3 kids (10, 5, 1) so we do not do "overnight trips" as I not fair to the other parent. Emergencies are one thing, but planned time away is another. But if you're okay with it, that's cool, but id say yeah checking in throughout the day, facetiming, calls, etc. Depending on how long he's gone

My husband and I both take solo trips with our friends. We love to travel and sometimes the best prices don't line up with both of our schedules so we've never had an issue with each other taking time to travel alone. We also obviously travel together (both as a couple and with our children), but we believe that alone time is a huge part of self care. I see absolutely nothing wrong with your dynamic. My husband and I are both perfectly capable of handling our children alone while the other decompresses for a few days.

I think is the sign of a healthy relationship that you or him can go on a trip with your friends without drama or issues. It was organised and he checked with you, that shows that he respects you and involves you in the decision making + he is texting you and having calls, that’s good, his family is in his mind while he does a trip with his friends that probably helps him to still feel himself and not detached from old friendships.
I’ve personally found that the most jealous people that need leash after leash on their partner are the most likely to cheat. If he is not doing anything that makes you feel bad don’t try to find reasons just bcos your friend is more jealous than you

I think your friend has trust issues somewhere in her own life and she's projecting it to you. If you don't have a reason not to trust him don't let her talk you into one. You know your man and your relationship don't worry about what other people think.

I’ve been away on a fitness weekend before and my oh has been away a couple of times. I regularly see my mum as well although with the kids. If you can afford to do it and go away yourself I don’t have a problem. For me though annual leave is precious and we’ve used it for childcare before during the school holidays or to spend quality time with the kids.

Girl absolutely not, yall need to have a life outside of each other! As long as the communication is great between the both of you let that man go and have fun and you gone have fun sometimes too whether it being with friend or alone! I go on trip with singles friends and so does my husband because all of our friends aren’t married and that’s okay! Different strokes for different folks I guess
Can’t do this anymore goodbye

Heyyy, I’m wondering if anyone can help. I’ve just been made redundant during maternity leave (fantastic lol) and it’s my whole team so from what I understand it’s not illegal. I was wondering if anyone has any solicitor recommendations? I’ve been told I need to consult one before agreeing to a settlement x

Everyone keeps telling me to join mother and baby groups is it normal to not want too as I just feel like I won’t fit in and I am just uncomfortable and scared of the idea of it as well

At what point do people stop having sex or it becomes too uncomfortable?
I’m 21w and over the last 6 weeks we have maybe only had sex once or time and it’s just to uncomfortable.

I am selective of my friends, because I don’t do surface level. Girlll we can call and b**** to each other. And then get side tracked with kids and doing stuff and still be doing our thing on the phone idc lol. You gotta call at 2a.m. Because something happened? I’m gonna answer the dang phone. Call each other out on our bs. But lift each other up. No censoring! No pressure to put on a mask and pretend to be perfect. Be weird. Be goofy. Be serious. Be angry. Idc I’ll accept it. I got adhd and I’m a weirdo too sometimes. Fun but socially awful lol.
