We have been accepted into two nurseries.
Nursery A - posh, new Montessori toys, close to my place of work.
Nursery B - old school, 9miles away from my place of work (5min away from home)
Context:
- I will be returning 4 days a week (Monday to Friday)
- baby will be in nursery 4 days a week (Monday to Thursday)
- hubby - 3 days office based, and one WFH (Random days 🙄)
- nursery A £200 more expensive than nursery B
Both nurseries have great reviews with positive feedback from family and friends (we like them both, hence it is so difficult to decide which one)
FTM here, any advice is highly appreciated

If you really do like them equally then I’d go for the one closest to home (not work). Anything can happen job wise and you could end up in a new job in the other direction which would then be a pain logistically. Having chosen a LOVELY nursery that is a pain to get to I regret it every journey 🤣

B - save yourself £200 !! That's a massive saving. Even if you change jobs it's only a 15/20 drive

Which nursery has the lowest turnover of staff? That’s how I chose. Long-serving staff generally equals happy people who want to be there.

I would say if you love both go with closer to home. If you pick up any bugs or anything yourself and your child is fine, it will be easier to drop them off and get yourself back to bed
