Its not going to be Pinterest perfect, ever! Give yourself grace and allow Jesus to help you in the journey.
I have my 5th baby on the way- I couldn't do it with faith.

Do your research, girl! šŸ˜‚ I’m literally researching every day and always finding new things. Right now we’re using Easy Peasy and Khan Academy, but I might switch over to Acellus.

I use a charter school and get all my books through them. Takes a lot of the questioning out for me and I don’t have to worry much about the curriculum standards because most of the books we use meet them.

Friends child

My best friend has a 5 year old and my daughter is 16 months old. My best friend is amazing with my daughter, and my daughter LOVES her so much. The problem I’m having is her son has a lot of behaviours, she’s in the process of trying to get help with him as they think he might be on the spectrum in some capacity. Her son loves my daughter and she loves him too. The issue is he is VERY aggressive, if he sees his mom giving any attention to my daughter then he’s throwing toys at her, pushing her over, going out of his way to hurt her and when we try to correct it he just laughs at us and gets worse and worse. I am not sure what to do. When he’s in a good mood they play so nicely but then something just switches and he will just terrorize her. I don’t know if we should keep having play dates but they love each other so much. I’m struggling. Has anyone had a similar situation and have any advice?

Housework

Does anyone find time to keep a clean & tidy house? Atm I just find time to keep the kitchen clean where baby's bottles are made and make sure he has clean clothes, my partner doesn't clean and it's been a bone of contention since we started living together he just says "it's tidy enough it's fine", I don't want to push the issue too much because he has helped a lotcwith the baby and me emotionally whilst I've struggled with ppd and I don't think I could bear the tension at home. Is anyone's home a palace with a newborn and it's just me šŸ˜‚, I must add that he does do all the cooking tho, it's just annoying because when he has the baby I'm just catching up on chores and not relaxing or resting like I would want to.

Attention anti-screen time moms. How do we feel about nature channels?

Mostly On days where you can’t do anything outside without a heat stroke.

Question

So I recently became a SAHM and I'm just curious how things are divided in yalls household. I'm primary caregiver, make the food and clean the home. Husband just works and comes home. We recently had a almost 10 week old. And occasionally he will help with bath time and take her for a few mins of the day. But I physically don't get a break. Unless baby is sleeping and usually I have other things to do at that point. I deserve a break too. My husband takes mental breaks out of his work and even gets some hours completely to his self. I refuse to just accept that this is how it is.

Using family names, dilemma!

My father passed away when I was a child. We used his name as our son’s middle name as a way for him to be connected to baby. My mum was very happy with this and so were me and my partner. I will say that my father’s name isn’t particularly a name I would’ve chosen otherwise as it’s not to our taste but won us over sentimentally.

My FIL openly asked me and my husband the other day if we will be using his name as our second son’s middle name. We had no intention of doing this and have already chosen another middle name. The middle name we have chosen is actually my husbands and FILs middle name (they have the same). We thought this was a way to connect both my husband and FIL to baby boy no2. My FIL seemed annoyed and said ā€œis my name not good enough?ā€.

I have no idea how to approach this subject anymore, especially when my in laws keeps asking if I have finalised a name and seem to be off in tone when discussing a name.

For reference, my husband is their only child and thus these are their only grandchildren.

Thanks for any help with this situation! I don’t want to upset anyone but also want our decisions to be respected.
