I get home, husband comes out to greet me. I grab our baby & put him in his stroller. I tell him I need to grab the diaper bag, he grabs it for me. The whole walk inside doesn’t even acknowledge our son, he even goes to the kitchen, doesn’t even touch him.. he goes to poop, I bring it up & he quickly defends himself. He uses the excuse that he had to poop & can’t control his bowel movements. As we’re walking in, I see him look over to the pretty neighbors house which I’m pretty sure I’ve caught him looking over there before. I try to believe that he’s not but how you just gonna glance in that one direction as we’re turning the corner. I kind of blow up when I tell him he didn’t acknowledge our baby, he gets mad interrupted his poop & opened the door & how I didn’t close the door. I told him he can close it himself, he slams the door.. then comes out & says he’s leaving. I said you can feed your son, he tells me not to talk to him & that he won’t be talked to that way. (4 weeks post partum btw)

I think it's weird he didn't say hi to the baby, but I also think this is a pretty big overreaction from you to the situation presented in the post. Hormones can be a wild ride.

Maybe he was waiting to hang out with him inside?

Oh it’s time to let go of his ass. It’s giving AVOIDANT! That’s weird! Plan to Leave him

Very weird he’s got something going on I’d say and not open to communicating about it. He should be somewhat excited especially bringing home a boy not girl right? Its also annoying he didn’t come home with you from the start.

That’s exactly what my husband does

Being that the baby is 1 month old, saying hi is a stretch. When my baby was that young I didn’t give him greetings like that, I’d usually pick him up and snuggle him. He could have probably wanted to wait until he was situated to do so. Is it the first time? Is it ongoing? I think that’s where it becomes an issue. He could have not felt clean enough (I had a covid baby for reference) and I didn’t touch him much if I had been cleaning or exposed to germs or whatever. Some people are still very serious about that when it comes to babies that young. If I even woke up with a sore throat, I stayed away but still helped. So I wouldn’t say leave like the previous comment without context, but I’d def say communicate and deliver it in a better way.
My best friend has a 5 year old and my daughter is 16 months old. My best friend is amazing with my daughter, and my daughter LOVES her so much. The problem I’m having is her son has a lot of behaviours, she’s in the process of trying to get help with him as they think he might be on the spectrum in some capacity. Her son loves my daughter and she loves him too. The issue is he is VERY aggressive, if he sees his mom giving any attention to my daughter then he’s throwing toys at her, pushing her over, going out of his way to hurt her and when we try to correct it he just laughs at us and gets worse and worse. I am not sure what to do. When he’s in a good mood they play so nicely but then something just switches and he will just terrorize her. I don’t know if we should keep having play dates but they love each other so much. I’m struggling. Has anyone had a similar situation and have any advice?

Does anyone find time to keep a clean & tidy house? Atm I just find time to keep the kitchen clean where baby's bottles are made and make sure he has clean clothes, my partner doesn't clean and it's been a bone of contention since we started living together he just says "it's tidy enough it's fine", I don't want to push the issue too much because he has helped a lotcwith the baby and me emotionally whilst I've struggled with ppd and I don't think I could bear the tension at home. Is anyone's home a palace with a newborn and it's just me 😂, I must add that he does do all the cooking tho, it's just annoying because when he has the baby I'm just catching up on chores and not relaxing or resting like I would want to.

My daughter just started nursery and is finding it really hard to adjust. Shes been on her keyworkers lap the whole day and also has been refusing snacks and food offered. I’m feeling extremely anxious for her, can someone please tell me it gets better or any advise to ease them into nursery

So I recently became a SAHM and I'm just curious how things are divided in yalls household. I'm primary caregiver, make the food and clean the home. Husband just works and comes home. We recently had a almost 10 week old. And occasionally he will help with bath time and take her for a few mins of the day. But I physically don't get a break. Unless baby is sleeping and usually I have other things to do at that point. I deserve a break too. My husband takes mental breaks out of his work and even gets some hours completely to his self. I refuse to just accept that this is how it is.

Any mom’s out there dealing with getting an IEP for their five year-old and having to wait 60 days for the process?
