Has anyone got any advice. My newborn is 11 days old and I've been really struggling with anxiety about making sure he is OK, feeding schedules, waking through the night and a few other things. I'm seeking help but wondered if anyone can share their experiences?

I was pretty similar with my daughter. I constantly had to check her and make sure she was still breathing and would wake her to feed her. I had a history of anxiety and other issues, so I got referred to the mental health team. They were super helpful and now I panic about the same amount as any other mum. You'll always worry but it's good to speak to someone if it's due to your anxiety.

Yeah, it did. I used to fall asleep ok but when I got up with her in the night I would struggle to get back to sleep. I was generally worse if I was the one who put her to sleep and not my partner. I'll sleep really well now though š

Just remember you are not alone and all new mums are anxious about the welfare of their babies. They are so tiny and vulnerable so its totally natural to worry.
I was a wreck with both of mine in very different ways. If i'm honest, i still worry for both of them but nothing like when they are little. I remember with my first, not being able to sleep because I was terrified i wouldnt hear him cry or wake up to see to him. I was scared to carry him up and downstairs incase i fell with him in my arms (hubby had to carry him). I wouldnt even leave him to go for a wee, i would take him with me in his pod. š

I had really bad anxiety. My main advice - which I realise might be asking the impossible - try at some point to get more than 5hours sleep in a row. Longer sleep is different to short sleeps and is needed to re-set your nervous system. Have a warm bath, again itās good to help your body relax.

I had both anxiety and ocd prior to having my LO, I was weaned off my medication early in pregnancy and my pregnancy went great thankfully but after I had her my anxiety and ocd was the worst itās ever been and I found myself on the line to the crisis team at 3am 5days pp, Iām glad youāve reached out for help thatās the first step, Iām now 4 months pp been put on some meds and receiving therapy, it does get better the early days are so so hard but you will get through them and things will get so much easier, my inbox is always open š¤
I let my son (4) watch videos while heās going to sleep.
He gets put to bed at 7 and is never awake past 8.

Do you really get down on the floor to play with your baby (not crawling yet) for more than 2 mins? It's so uncomfortable for me and also I don't know how to play with my young baby for more than 2mins at a time!?

My twins are currently 11weeks (4 weeks corrected) and Iām really struggling at the moment. One twin is a lot smaller than the other so is constantly up in the night for feeds and itās hard trying not to wake the other up so Iām very sleep deprived, especially since my husband has returned to work now. I also feel like I should be doing more with them during the day, but when itās just me in the house or out with them I canāt feed two and entertain two at the same time without help. My parents and in laws are really helpful and will come and play with them while I shower or have an hour to myself but due to them still being small for their age and very refluxy none of them feel confident to have them for a few hours or feed without me or my husband there. I just feel like Iām drowning a bit at the moment and guilty that I should be doing more for the babies. Does anyone have any tips on how to routines they had or activities they did with their twins?

So I do have OCD. I was pushing the pram along the pavement the other day and noticed a used pepette of something with the toxic symbol all over it. I couldnāt be sure whether or not the pram wheels went over it so I gave them a quick wipe with a dettol wipe and put the pram back in the boot of the car like normal. Thing is Iām now spiralling over it and think everythings contaminated . After some advice on what you would do and also why on earth is it ok for people to drop these where kids may be walking etc . Appreciate this may sound strange just after some advice

Hey guys,
My baby is 7 weeks old today. He has gone from having 3-4 dirty nappies a day to pooing every 12-24 hours just the once. When he does poo, itās been super watery/runny but still dark mustard colour. He strains all day and night until this poo comes seeming really uncomfortable. Has anyone got any tips for this or experienced the same thing?
I have tried infacol and have now moved over to gripe water which he wonāt really take to and I donāt want to force it. (Bottle fed baby)
