Officially cut ties with the father of my child and I just want to cry. I'm only 3 months pregnant and struggling with the fact that I can't give my son the family he deserves, but I had to protect my peace. I keep telling myself I'm doing the right thing but am I really? I can't even tell my family because they expect so much more from me. This is my first pregnancy and I love my baby so I don't regret my decision to keep him, I just wish things were different.

I remember what it felt like to make that decision when my first baby was three months old. I reached a point where I knew I had to choose peace, so I cut ties and blocked him. It wasn’t easy. In fact, the experience affected me so deeply that I eventually had to speak with a mental health doctor.
Looking back, I realise that leaving wasn’t me giving up on my family. It was me choosing a healthier environment for my child and myself. A child deserves to grow up seeing genuine love, peace and stability not simply two parents together at any cost.
So to you who has just left your boyfrd with a threemonth-old baby: please don’t measure your decision by how difficult today feels. Give yourself time to heal. You may have moments of doubt, loneliness and fear, but that doesn’t automatically mean you made the wrong decision.
Your son will one day understand that you chose peace and protected the environment he grew up in. He can be proud of a mother who had the courage to walk away..

Gripe Water

Has anyone else dealt with this? My 7-week-old struggles every night to pass gas, grunting and kicking for hours starting at 2:00 AM. It's making sleep impossible for both of us! Has anyone tried gripe water,or other remedies, and did you actually see results? Would love to hear what worked for you. We do have Infacol but cannot really see improvement.

Do breastfeeding women “smell”

So I’ve never breastfeed I don’t even know what it’s like.

My child was in formula since day one of birth…
A few of my relatives have said that women who breastfeed have a smell on them…
Is that like a milk smell that they have?

Describing the birth…

If you are going to be rude or insensitive to others, don’t comment on this post.

if you gave birth via caesarean, would it bother you if someone asked if you gave birth “naturally or by caesarean” (nothing to do with whether you were medicated).

When I gave birth I always answered “vaginally” to others and they seemed uncomfortable 🤣 there was nothing natural about that shit show lmao

PPD please help

Hi, not expecting a diagnosis obviously but maybe just some opinions and or advice. I have a nearly 4 month old. I’ve been to my doctor re my mental health and they have told me to do a self referral for some talk therapy but it looks like it could take a few months. I’m really struggling but I don’t know if it’s a normal amount as a new first time mum or something more. I feel very low a lot of the time, crying most days but not every day, feeling isolated (no mum friends), feeling like I’m not enjoying being a mum as much as I hoped, missing my old life and freedom, struggling with patience and the constant crying and fussing, feeling like it’s Groundhog Day, jealous of my husbands life, feeling like I’m not doing a good enough job, worrying I’m not doing things well enough and it will negatively affect her, only feeling better when I have people with me who know about kids and can step in and help eg in laws etc. I have tried hard to work on being positive, I get out for multiple walks every day, I’ve joined a sensory class, I’m on this app but I feel like none of it is really working or doing much. I feel like I’m ticking boxes of things that should help but I’m not making any mum friends and honestly a lot of the time it feels like I’m masking. Sometimes I get so upset and cry and I can’t really explain why….

Question

Is it okay to let my 23 month old roam while I shower?

The house is baby proofed.

Pushchair Advice

After lots of research, shop visits and trying different options, we’ve narrowed it down to the Joolz Aer², Silver Cross Nia and Bugaboo Butterfly.

We’re looking for one lightweight pushchair that is sturdy enough for everyday use, easy to carry as we live somewhere with no lift, and practical for travel too. We’d really prefer not to buy multiple pushchairs for different purposes, so ideally we want something that can work from newborn through to later toddler years.

We have tried all 3 and I feel in terms of sturdiness, Bugaboo would be the most sturdy, followed by Nia and then Joolz Aer2. Aesthetically and colour wise, I do prefer the Nia design.

Has anyone used any of these as their main everyday pushchair from birth? Would love to hear your experience and recommendations.
