Hey everyone! Has anyone’s babies started to struggle to sleep?? My girl has turned 3 months old today and usually she will sleep from 8:30pm until 4:00/5:00am and now we are going from 8:30pm until 12:00/1:00am and then up every half an hour until 5:00/6:00am and it’s a struggle!! Any advice at all??? 💞

Sounds like she has started the sleep regression. It can start anytime from 3 months.
Definately worth reading up on this

We started this last Thursday - definitely the 4 month regression started at 3 months 1 week for us!
Felt better last night (up every 2 hours all night so not great still)
so I’m hoping we are on the way out read it doesn’t suddenly get loads better it slowly gets longer - it’s been awful 🫠
We never had an amazing sleeper since 3.5 weeks 😂 but really felt this one! She would do 3/2.5 hour stretches at least
I read up but nothing can actually do! I just stuck to not feeding her everytime / trying to do hands on but I ended up having to rock her
I think if your baby can put themselves to sleep independently they go back to normal if not it can be a bit more of a challenge and a lot of people look into some sort of sleep training at 5/6 months
Xx

My baby has never slept the night, she wakes us 3 times a night minimum. Lots of my friends say their babies sleep the night etc but not sleeping through the night is normal!!! It is tough as it really does catch up with you, we do bath bottle and bed for 7 and she wakes around midnight, 3 and 5/6. She is 4 months old and shows no signs of getting better at the moment. Rude the wave you got this xx

There is an app called wonderweeks. It can give you a clue about regression and what theyre learning etc
Maybe I’m being dumb but I don’t understand the concept of co sleeping for those of you who do it when baby doesn’t stay down in their cot. Am I missing the point or is there no difference in the two? I put my baby down in the bed the same way I put her in her cot. Am I doing it wrong? She wakes up and cries and doesn’t want to stay down. She wants to be held. I’ve tried to hold her, lie down and the roll over so she still thinks I’m holding her, but there’s too much movement and she wakes up regardless of co sleeping. Do other mums hold their babies or cuddle them when co sleeping? From the lullaby trust I can see that the baby is not being held in any way, so I can’t understand how I’m supposed to sleep if my baby doesn’t want to be put down even when co sleeping..

As most of us are currently going through it with sleep, i thought I’d share the things I’m telling myself at 4 in the morning when she is frantically thrashing around trying to connect her sleep cycles.
“Despite what people call it, this is not a regression. She is not going backwards, she is learning something new.”
“She is a baby doing baby things - sometimes they don’t make sense”
“Her brain is going through a massive change. Regardless of how tired I am, she is building something that will stay with her for life.”
“I can only help give her the foundations to get through this, this is something she will learn for herself, in her own time.“
“I am lucky that get to be here to watch her learn this new skill.”
“I will sleep again.” (Probably the most important one)
I know I’m finding this period tough, because before now we had a baby who only woke once during the night. These are nice reminders I repeat to myself when I’m tired (and awake at 3:45). I hope they might be useful to someone else in the same position.

I’ve got a 4 week year old and since birth, they don’t like sleeping in their own next to me crib or even on my bed and if so, it can sometimes last a few minutes when I put them down 😭
Baby only sleeps if on me or their dad. Any tips to get baby to sleep on crib/ bed without waking up after 5 minutes 😭

My LO has been sleeping longer stints 3-4 hours rather than 2-3 hours these last 2 weeks but has been waking up for the day 3.30am-4.30am and will stay awake 2 hours before his first nap.i have tried feeding, changing him cuddling, ignoring him but he just wants to play. Please send advise. He goes to bed between 6pm-7.30pm
