My husband yells too much i’m 39 weeks pregnant and he’s giving me anxiety!

Been married for 5 years now with 4y/o son my husband have short fuse and would yell and curse at a wall if he’s working with something and it doesn’t go his way. He yells at me or things i do in the house like decorating he calls it “ this is stupid, this is dumb idea” it really hurts my feelings and I just don’t want to keep tolerating it and he apologizes and do it all over again. I don’t want to get used to it now my son is developing his temper and attitude because my son sees it all the time. With stomping of the feet, punch furniture. Idk what to do. Also first trimester i had to go through psych therapy and they almost put me on medication because my husband gives me mental breakdown.

He never compliments me, he’s always on his phone, he’s hard working and passionate about work, work in the house, take care of our son but not so great with me.

He doesn’t even compliment me, most men or women out there tell me i look so beautiful as a pregnant woman. On our anniversary i spent my time shopping and bought him shirt that matches me so we look nice on our 5th anniversary, didn’t even say anything nice to me. 37 weeks pregnant and i still try to look good for him. He doesn’t even touch me anymore. I feel so disconnected. He’s constantly on his phone and when I address this matter he gets defensive that he’s learning something to fix the house. Or he hides in the bathroom for an hour scrolling on his phone didn’t even poop.

One time i asked if he can massage my leg because 3rd trimester sucks he just told me to take tylenol. I’m so unhappy and don’t know what to do! He always criticized me

You’re being abused.

I would be leaving. Imagine raising the poor kid in that environment- he’s a bad example for emotional regulation and even besides that, I would have the ICK 🤢

I can’t sleep good, cried all night. All he say is sorry for yelling

Im sorry you are going through this! But i would consider going to coynseling or leaving. I know easy to say that then done but you need to focus on you and who you are raising. If your baby is already acting like him what happens when the baby is worse than dad? The house is materialistic you can always start again, you can always buy another house( i know easier said then done) but take it from someobe that experienced this before. I used to defend my ex partner and be like well he hasnt hit me. Hes just overwhelmed. Oh but he bought me a car. Until his anger got worse and he laid a hand on me i realized my mistake! But i can sit here and talk about my situation but idk your partner idk what he is capable of but YOU DO. So take the advice that is suited for you and your situation but i really hope it gets better

I’d run a 1,0000 miles away from that man. I’m a domestic violence survivor from my previous relationship & only 8 years later am I starting to heal with lotssss of therapy.
He said sorry & still continues to do it?
He ignores you and your needs & your son is copying what he sees which will then take years to undo as my son did the same.

Abuse comes in many different forms not just physical.
You deserve love, warmth & compassion.
This man to me seems emotionally withdrawn.

Is there any place you could stay I,e with relatives or friends? 🤍

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I went through the same he was horrible to me and never touched my belly when I was pregnant.
Here is an advice and also what I did:
Don’t leave him now! Focus on you and the babies and your son. Save as much money you can, recover from postpartum, study a lot before making a move and even you feel it’s the right time you leave. Your not in a good mental state to go through divorce right now it’s too painful. It might take you an years or two till you feel ready, then go! Don’t rush now (if you can stand him obviously) I left when my baby was 9 months moved back to my home country and left everything behind

If you can’t leave you need to start focusing on your kids hardcore. I truly hate to recommend this bc my relationship was healthy, my hubs is kind, considerate, loving, intimate & would do anything in his power for me & our kids, but he used to have some anger issues w/inanimate objects, never us, but I have called him out for throwing things, not towards or close to us, when a project didn’t go his way. I told him he’d pass it along to our son & he’d claim it wasn’t possible bc they’re not bio related & he got his temper from his folks. So I called it out “see that kiddo, that’s how we DON’T respond to frustration”, hubs would hang his head & agree w/me & say “please listen to your mom, this is tough to break” & he did try, I could tell, but then his bonus son tossed his homework in the floor around 6yo & I never had to say another word, he started correcting himself & apologizing to the kid, explaining how he would be more emotionally mature & was trying even harder.

Baby won’t be held

Quick question as a first time mum, is it normal for your baby to scream when being held by other people? My baby is 4 1/2 months old never had a problem being held by other people and it seems like overnight she will only be held by me and my husband if anyone else tries to hold her or pick her up including grandparents who she sees very regularly, she will just scream and cry and it takes me awhile to calm her down. I’m really hoping it’s just a phase but I don’t quite know what to do to get through it or if there’s anything I can do to be helping the situation it’s frustrating for us because it means we can’t hand her off to people to have a rest! but it’s also I’m sure frustrating for her grandparents who can’t hold her or have a cuddle with her. It also gets very awkward when they ask if they can hold her and all I want to say is no because I can see what’s about to happen…..

Childcare

My mum looks after my kids two days a week for me. One is in school so it's just for an hour after school the other is pre school age. I use a childminder two days a week and I have one day off a week. My mum initially offered to help me but now all she does is complain. She is also very demanding, expects me to drop things for her at the weekend, buy her coffees and food when we are out and never says thank you and just moans about every aspect of looking after my kids. I've said I'll start using the childminder more but then she says no. I'm really confused as what to do. Has anyone else had a similar experience? We don't get free childcare here because we are in Wales. Thanks

Any advice appreciated

I feel like I have failed as a mum, at the moment, my son is quite angry for example, when I pop him in the buggy to make his food ( currently have a grain mites problem so putting him on the floor isn’t a good move, he will mostly be on the floor and playing otherwise) , he’s screaming at me as if he’s in pain(he’s not) until I pick him up, sometimes I put Bluey on to calm him down, but that doesn’t always work, at the moment I’m putting Bluey on at meal times because he is such a wiggle worm he won’t stay still or eat unless it’s on , I wanted to use the gentle parenting approach, but there is last week has been so difficult. He’s been pulling my hair and it feels like means to do it, out of pain I had a go at him and walked away, I felt so bad for shouting since he doesn’t know better , he’s been screaming, He’s been getting angry, He’s been missing one of his naps almost every day, it feels like Bluey is my coparent, speaking of parents his dad is constantly working and doesn’t take care of him for more than half an hour at a time so it’s just me and him.
two days ago I burnt out completely and got sick because of it I called my sister over and she’s been amazing and my dad took him for a walk yesterday whilst I cleaned but the living room is back to how it was before( a big mess) I feel like he’s angry because he’s watching some tv or I won’t let him eat dangerous things, he could also be tired but he won’t go down for his second nap! He’s 1 next Saturday, any advise or literally anything is helpful, could it be this age? He’s learning to clap and stand aswell

This is only a snippet. He is usually a very happy baby!
Thanks for reading lol

Am I overreacting

Long story short my partner and I only get one day together every week which is a Sunday. He looks after our girl on Mondays while I work and then he is working the rest of the week (long hours and not home until 10.30pm most nights)

Last Sunday he went fishing all day Sunday, last night he sprung it on me he was coming with me today to a party as he’s going fishing again (left 3.30am and said he will be back for 2pm) it’s now almost 4pm and he’s still not back and I’ve not seen him since yesterday morning briefly before he left for work.

Next Sunday he is out again all day fishing with his mate.

At the moment I am extremely run down with a chest infection and just feeling like I’m being pushed to one side. I understand he wants to be able to do his own things too on his day off but I’m starting to lose my patience because I am so exhausted and the thought of waiting 3 more weeks until I can have any sort of ‘rest’ is killing me.

I don’t think he is taking my feelings or needs into consideration but perhaps I am being selfish in wanting a rest? It’s not helping that our girl is so full on at the moment (22 months) who also has a chest infection and going through a sleep regression waking multiple times a night 😩 I am exhausted

Excuse

Would it bother anyone else??🤣🤣🥲
My mil and sil, at their own fault, had to drop something over to our house the other day before they went to work, for my partner. Due to this, they were 5 mins late for their shift. Instead of just making up an excuse like there was traffic, they told their boss that they had to rush over to our house because my little one had hit her head and was injured, which was very much not the case!🤣why say that? Weird behaviour, right?🤣🤨they thought it was funny as they told me the next time I saw them. I think this is a regular thing, I know they’ve used excuses from our little one for work things before.
Bearing in mind, they make no effort with her/us, so them helping with anything isn’t in the picture anyways.
Happy Sunday yall🤣😅

Feeling deflated at the start of weaning

My nearly 7 month old just started weaning 5 days ago. First 3 days gave her broccoli. She loved it, first 2 days she had 2 spoons, and 3rd day about 10 spoons! Yesterday I started on butternut squash and she didn’t look amused but had a spoon or 2 forcefully, then today she also had butternut squash but was forced she had one spoon then every spoon I tried after that she didn’t want it. Is this strange considering she liked the broccoli but the butternut squash is more sweet and yummy I thought she would have enjoyed it. I mixed both with my breast milk.
