How do you get your babies to nap in the day? What’s the process… do you rock then lay down for example once asleep? My son only likes napping in the carrier or if I do manage to put him down I have to rock until asleep, lay down on his side and tap his bum but independent naps don’t last long at all. I want to get him napping better on his own but the process is so long!!!!

My little girl doesn’t independently nap well but buggy naps, car naps or co-sleeping naps work best for us. They won’t be napping forever so it’s whatever you can get away with and works for you for now 😊

Pram naps work best for my wee boy at the moment 😊 he seems to like the movement of going forwards and backwards in it

Mine falls asleep while nursing most of the time. Sometimes in the buggy if we're out for a walk. He doesn't really sleep independent naps in the daytime yet, so we do contact naps.

I rock my baby when I can see they’re tired and then I put them down drifting but awake or as soon as they’ve closed their eyes. Sometimes he will fall asleep straight away and other times he’ll fall asleep for a min and wake up and cry as he wants to be held! So I repeat the process and put him down again until he eventually falls asleep

went through a good phase of pram naps but were contact naps only these days unless i walk and walk and walk!

We've just this week started putting him in his big cot for daytime naps but he only naps for 45 mins a time. I take him to his room 15 mins before hes due to go down (using huckleberry app for guidance and its working so well for us), make the room dark and use white noise and it seems to be doing the trick. I usually wait until hes either just asleep or fast asleep before placing him and walking away and i tend to get about 30-40 mins time to get things done and its life changing haha. Nightimes are now becoming a different story and feel the 4 month sleep regression is fully kicking our butt's!!

My little one usually falls asleep whilst on my boob. The first morning nap she will let me put her down, but otherwise it’s contact naps during the day! She also likes to sleep in the car too. Baths usually help sleep
Hey everyone,
I have just bought the Joie GTI spin car seat for my 10 month old but having major issues with her head leaning forward when she falls asleep…
I’ve got the reclining back on the car seat as much as it will go, and think that the head rest is at the right level.
Does anyone else have this problem and know what I can do about it? or whether it is just the car seat in general?
Thank you x

So I’m 8 weeks pregnant. My youngest just turned 1 August 10th I also have a 7 yr old 4 yr old and a 2 yr old. I told my mom I was pregnant only because eventually she would notice. But yesterday she said something that bothered me then tried to flip it. Basically she was like “ the nurse told you your last pregnancy that your body was under stress because you keep having babies back to back “ “ I hope this one doesn’t kill you “ I hope this one doesn’t take you out “ so it didnt dawn on me till she hung up the phone . in my mind I’m like that’s really fucked up to say. She says I took it in the wrong context but how??? I told her actually by her saying that I could be very traumatized worrying about if I’m going to die or not. She’s like “ well I’m traumatized because of what the nurse told you last yr “ like wtf now it’s about her. Please share your thought.

Hi. I'm expecting and when baby is due I'll have a newborn and a 2 1/2 year old. Any suggestions on what I should do for prams? The issue is that, currently, my toddler is too heavy to carry and when he doesn't want to walk he just stops and I'm stuck. Doesn't help that he is used to dad carrying him. Any with similar age gaps have any recommendations? Either double pram, buggy board, hammock thing? I'm not the strongest so the idea of a double pram scares me for how hard it'll be for me to push. But I have no idea what ill do if I don't get anything and just make him walk and he doesn't and I'm stuck x

My baby girl is almost 11 weeks old and over the last week or so her false starts at night have gotten worse! Once she is asleep at night she generally only wakes once or twice for a little feed, but it can take hours to get to that point.
I just want to soak it all up so the ‘1 nap a day in the bassinet’ hasn’t been happening consistently, so I know this is the first thing to start doing.
At bedtime (whatever that is 🥴) I am feeding, changing, and rocking her to sleep and then transferring - which again, I know isn’t helping the false starts.
I just cannot let her get so upset/distressed before sleeping! How do I make these changes without just leaving her to work out that she needs to sleep?
Any tips would be much appreciated!
From one tired mumma and one cuddly baby 🥹

Hi so this may seem a bit weird but my baby doesn’t get upset if I leave him with someone else. He doesn’t cry or anything. He seems happy when he sees me again though but I was just wondering as I was reading a post that said that babies like that could be unattached? If that is even a thing. Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong? Also do I sound weird 😣
