Recently I've come to the decision to no longer allow certain behaviors that are for adults and children. Without trauma dumping, My son and I are in a recovery period. No one in our lives understand that. It's always get over it and you're still held up on it. When "it" wasn't over until November of last year. Through protection orders and not really having any guidance or village when it comes to us, I'm definitely paving the way for our outcome to be bigger than our downfall was. No one knows yet, but we are moving away from everyone we know and everything we know. Somewhere where we can start fresh and continue. We're not running and that's all everyone is going to see it as. I have my baby's childhood in my hands and I'm determined to make it as good as I can before he's older. I don't know if/when we will tell everyone where we are but for now I know and understand that we need to get right and start new.

You safety and your child safety are most important than what people think xx you got this x stay string mama x

Best of luck. We moved to improve our lot too and because we didn’t have support where we were before. It started with a good job offer in another state, followed by picking a good apartment in nice neighborhood and city for families, the school district is known to be high quality, and we’re slowly getting close friends too with kids of similar ages. My husband’s landed a better job too! Every choice leads you closer to where you want to be when you’re intentional about it.
How empowering for you to cut off the dead weight and start fresh so you can heal properly! Good for you for setting up for the life you want and for the best start you can do for your son! There’s sure to be bumps but every small improvement counts and adds up to quite a lot. Nothing can stop a determined mama 👏 👩 💪

You’re doing great! I’ve personally done the same. You don’t owe anything to anyone who saw you struggling, they’re as good as the abuser. I had people who would pop up and not respect boundaries, the next correspondence was our family has left the state. 🤷🏾♀️ we have skyrocketed since getting aways from
Abusers and those who choose to look the other way or criticize how I heal.

You are such a strong woman and wonderful mom
Wishing you the best new life !!
Quick question as a first time mum, is it normal for your baby to scream when being held by other people? My baby is 4 1/2 months old never had a problem being held by other people and it seems like overnight she will only be held by me and my husband if anyone else tries to hold her or pick her up including grandparents who she sees very regularly, she will just scream and cry and it takes me awhile to calm her down. I’m really hoping it’s just a phase but I don’t quite know what to do to get through it or if there’s anything I can do to be helping the situation it’s frustrating for us because it means we can’t hand her off to people to have a rest! but it’s also I’m sure frustrating for her grandparents who can’t hold her or have a cuddle with her. It also gets very awkward when they ask if they can hold her and all I want to say is no because I can see what’s about to happen…..

My mum looks after my kids two days a week for me. One is in school so it's just for an hour after school the other is pre school age. I use a childminder two days a week and I have one day off a week. My mum initially offered to help me but now all she does is complain. She is also very demanding, expects me to drop things for her at the weekend, buy her coffees and food when we are out and never says thank you and just moans about every aspect of looking after my kids. I've said I'll start using the childminder more but then she says no. I'm really confused as what to do. Has anyone else had a similar experience? We don't get free childcare here because we are in Wales. Thanks

Would it bother anyone else??🤣🤣🥲
My mil and sil, at their own fault, had to drop something over to our house the other day before they went to work, for my partner. Due to this, they were 5 mins late for their shift. Instead of just making up an excuse like there was traffic, they told their boss that they had to rush over to our house because my little one had hit her head and was injured, which was very much not the case!🤣why say that? Weird behaviour, right?🤣🤨they thought it was funny as they told me the next time I saw them. I think this is a regular thing, I know they’ve used excuses from our little one for work things before.
Bearing in mind, they make no effort with her/us, so them helping with anything isn’t in the picture anyways.
Happy Sunday yall🤣😅

Long story short my partner and I only get one day together every week which is a Sunday. He looks after our girl on Mondays while I work and then he is working the rest of the week (long hours and not home until 10.30pm most nights)
Last Sunday he went fishing all day Sunday, last night he sprung it on me he was coming with me today to a party as he’s going fishing again (left 3.30am and said he will be back for 2pm) it’s now almost 4pm and he’s still not back and I’ve not seen him since yesterday morning briefly before he left for work.
Next Sunday he is out again all day fishing with his mate.
At the moment I am extremely run down with a chest infection and just feeling like I’m being pushed to one side. I understand he wants to be able to do his own things too on his day off but I’m starting to lose my patience because I am so exhausted and the thought of waiting 3 more weeks until I can have any sort of ‘rest’ is killing me.
I don’t think he is taking my feelings or needs into consideration but perhaps I am being selfish in wanting a rest? It’s not helping that our girl is so full on at the moment (22 months) who also has a chest infection and going through a sleep regression waking multiple times a night 😩 I am exhausted

My nearly 7 month old just started weaning 5 days ago. First 3 days gave her broccoli. She loved it, first 2 days she had 2 spoons, and 3rd day about 10 spoons! Yesterday I started on butternut squash and she didn’t look amused but had a spoon or 2 forcefully, then today she also had butternut squash but was forced she had one spoon then every spoon I tried after that she didn’t want it. Is this strange considering she liked the broccoli but the butternut squash is more sweet and yummy I thought she would have enjoyed it. I mixed both with my breast milk.
