Is it common to completely lose your sex drive after having a baby? My baby is almost 3 months and I have absolutely no desire to have sex. In fact, I kind of dread it. I feel bad for my partner because he really wants it. He’s been really patient with me and respectful of my boundaries, but I just feel bad that I don’t want it right now. I still love him and everything, just don’t want to have sex at this time. I’m just so focused on my baby that sex feels like an inconvenience and just like one other thing I have to do for someone else. Anyone else feel the same?

Take prenatals. And it takes a while for your hormones to regulate after birth. Is your baby a boy or girl?

Totally normal- especially so if breastfeeding

I didnt really feel like having sex until month 7. I still only barely want it, but the desire is coming back. I also stopped my prenatals around the same time.

I didn't get my sex drive back until 13/14 months post partum. A couple weeks after stopping breastfeeding.
Prolactin- the breastfeeding hormone that creates milk lowers your sex drive.
But also so does caring for an infant within the first year- your hyper focused on your babies survival.
This is a biological thing, nature wants us to care for the babies we have before we bring a new one into the world. Yes we do have sex for fun, but in the eyes of evolution, it has a specific purpose, so the drive is intentionally turned off for protection
My child recently started nursery and got a birthday invitation for a first birthday. I'm not really familiar with the child, so was thinking to put £10 in a card. Is this an appropriate amount, or would £20 be better? I haven't been to a kids party in a very long time, so don't really know what is the norm at the moment. Thanks

My partner says I come across as over-friendly and it makes some people uncomfortable, even midwives. I want to connect and make friends as a new mum, but I’d love advice on how to find a good balance. Has anyone else struggled with this?

We had like a 9-month no-sex-at-all, no-intimacy period. I just have three kisses in the day, one when he came from work and one before go to sleep and sometimes I have one extra. A touch of his lips. That’s all

I am a mom of a lovely one year old baby, he’s my whole life, I love him so much. Since being pregnant with him, my relationship has been awful. We don’t have sex anymore (once every three months if that and it’s not even nice), there is no intimacy whatsoever. It got to the point where we are roommates. We don’t kiss, haven’t been sleeping in the same bed for a year (even though baby sleeps independently in his own room), we haven’t been on a date since I got pregnant. We argue all the time. I just don’t like the person he is, he’s making racist comments that make me uncomfortable and is overall very narrow minded.
8 weeks ago, we had sex once after months of abstinence… I got pregnant. I am now 8 weeks pregnant and I don’t know what to do. I have talked to him countless times about going to therapy but he hasn’t showed me even once that he cares to do that or fix our relationship at all. Yesterday was my birthday, I got an ugly pyjamas in a colour that I don’t even like… I know it’s not a big deal compared to all our other issues but I felt so lonely… I’ve been suffering with HG and feeling so crappy while taking care of our baby and the house and all I get is an ugly pyjamas… I wish he cared to fix things between us but unfortunately it seems very one sided…
Now I am at the point of thinking if I should get an abortion, go back to work and leave… It breaks my heart but I couldn’t possibly afford two babies while not working and all by myself… it’s either that or having to wait two more years until both babies can go to nursery. I am looking for an outside point of view here, what should I do?
