Adult friendships

I know I see others venting about this often and I’m just so frustrated. Why is it so hard to make adult friends???

Personally I can tell if I'll be friends with someone if we start life dumping and our lives just match, I play 20 questions with ppl first, but also I stay on Snapchat not peanut so if I wanna talk to someone I tell them to add me on the app I use the most, or offer a different communication method, it can help, other than that it's bc ppl want friends but don't wanna put in the effort

Yes!! I feel like it’s because some people are better at talking on the phone or face to face rather than texting like it’s hard to tell how someone really feels through text that’s why I try add emojis for a bit of emotion 😭😭

Friendships are created through geography and proximity. The more you are around someone and close to them , the easier it is to build a friendship. Like in Highschool. There’s just no one around when I’m mopping the floor, doing the dishes, or working remotely. It’s a brutal life!

How do I tone down being over-friendly when making mum friends?

My partner says I come across as over-friendly and it makes some people uncomfortable, even midwives. I want to connect and make friends as a new mum, but I’d love advice on how to find a good balance. Has anyone else struggled with this?

Is it safe to have sex?

This might sound really silly and I’ve been all over google/chat gpt but thought the best place for reassurance would be here..! So I am 40+2 just now and I had a sweep on Thursday. I was 3cm dilated and the midwife said she felt the baby’s head. I have since lost my show and had some pains but still no waters broken. Am I safe to have sex??? I wasn’t told not to, but I can’t get my head around (from google and chat GPT) that the baby’s head wont get hit? 🤣🤣 since the midwife was able to feel it with just her fingers?? I just don’t want to give my baby a sore head lol

Baby Daddy 😒

My baby daddy hasn’t been apart of my pregnancy. We were previously together and then he broke up with me when I was still newly pregnant. He is upset because I have picked the name and I am choosing to hyphenate the last name. I am not sure if I want him at the birth, not because I don’t want him there, but because I don’t want the stress and continuing non support while I’m in the middle of bringing a life into the world. Am I wrong ? I am 30 weeks today & I am working on my birth plan, as it stands, it explicitly states that he isn’t to be there until after baby. But I don’t want to hurt him or regret it in the long run. But I feel like L&D is stressful enough without him adding to it. What do I do?

Feeling alone

This is my first pregnancy and I’m starting to get worried about how I’ll be postpartum. I have an amazing husband who honestly is the best support and person I could ask for.
I just don’t have any friends. I’ve not had any friends for about 5 years so only have my husband to hang out with but don’t want to suffocate him.
I’ve been fine not having any girl friends generally as I’ve been at work to have other people to talk to but now I’ve finished work I’m already feeling very low and worried how I’ll be postpartum when it’s just me.
Sorry for the rant but looking for some advice :)

Heyy

Anyone available to chat every day? Someone who genuinely enjoys talking and doesn’t always wait for me to text first. I want a friendship with mutual effort, not just hi and hello.
