Hey mamas. I am 4 weeks postpartum and got my period. Or what I suspect is my period. Heavy bleeding, and stomach cramps. But I’m a google feen and looked it up. It says that it’s not typical to get your period 4 weeks postpartum if I’m combination feeding. I pump, and let her latch. Also supplementing with formula because I can’t keep up with her feedings sometimes.
I had a C-section on September 19th. I’m still healing in one specific spot that occasionally feels like tugging or pulling.

I started bleeding again around that time and my Dr said my wound on the inside probably opened back up from me being too active because I had to bounce and rock her constantly for her not to be sick and I didn't have any help because I was single at the time and my mom hurt her foot right before my daughter was born so she could barely stand.

Everything in the first 6 weeks is still considered post partem bleeding and it can still fluctuate in flow and how often. Your bleeding has probably gotten heavier/started agaim where you'll likely be moving around and doing a bit more stuff, using more stomach muscles and tensing them differently now. Breastfeeding can also make you super crampy because of the hormones. 🙂

Is it fresh blood? I was bleeding fresh blood around the same time I thought it was normal so got on with it until I started to pass small at first blood clots then big ones came. I rang the pregnancy assessment ward they told me to come and I still had left over tissue and clots that were too big to pass so I had to have a D&C scheduled the next day. I'm currently 6 weeks pp and haven't had my period yet.

This sounds like additional lochia bleed, or an injury to your surgical site. I would go ahead and contact your provider so they can monitor your symptoms and make sure everything is good to go. It is a bit early for a menstrual cycle. Many people have bleeding off and on for 6 weeks or more, but it may be worth doing an ultrasound to make sure the bleeding is normal and not something that needs a surgical repair…

I had c-section and I came on as normal 21 days later. I also breastfed. I have always been like clockwork xx

Anything in the first 6 weeks is still classed as post birth bleeding however I did stop bleeding for a cup of days. Round 4-5 weeks got another bleed for about a week. With bad cramps. I did also go to my midwife as I also felt pain in my scar and they said I opened my insides back up as they thought I was having a ectopic pregnancy (after test coming back negative)
Baby is 5 days old, my boobs are massive, haven’t been able to establish a latch at all, have had to express my milk and use a bottle (I know bottle is easier for baby than boob) is all hope lost for them to ever latch? :( he cries and cries when my nipple is in his mouth and just won’t latch.

Is anyone else struggling with this postpartum? 💔
I don't know if this is postpartum anxiety, emotional exhaustion, or years of hurt finally catching up with me. I'm just trying to understand if anyone else has felt this way.
Lately, I've been spiralling over things my MIL said to me almost four years ago. Things that happened years back, but somehow, my mind keeps bringing them up as if they happened yesterday.
I have the awareness to know that I'm spiralling. I know I can't change the past. But I feel like I have absolutely no control over my thoughts.
I keep replaying conversations, remembering how certain things made me feel, thinking about what I should have said, and wondering why those words still have so much power over me.
And the hardest part? I feel incredibly alone in all of this.
My husband has gone to work, and I find myself sitting with all these emotions, feeling like I have no one truly in my corner. I'm postpartum, I'm struggling, and I'm tired of having to be strong when all I really want is to feel understood and emotionally supported.
It's frightening how something from years ago can still hurt this much. I'm exhausted by my own thoughts, and I don't know how to make them stop.
I'm not looking for advice to forgive, forget, or simply move on. I just want to know if other mothers have experienced this — old wounds resurfacing postpartum, overthinking to the point of feeling physically overwhelmed, and feeling alone even when you're not technically alone in life.
Has anyone else been through something similar? Did postpartum make unresolved hurt feel much more intense? And what genuinely helped you get through it?
Please be kind. I'm reaching out because I need to know I'm not alone. ❤️

I have a 13 day old and I have been able to make enough Milk to feed my baby. Im a first time mom, so i dont know alot about babies and I have a lack of exposure to them growing up.
I currently have the philips Avant natural bottle with the super slow nipple (size 1). I noticed that my daughter takes very little volume (varies from 10 to 50 ml max per feed). My health care provider told me we should feed her atleast 70 ml per feed now, because she is lagging behind her target weight.
We already adjusted the house temp to 21 to 23 celsius and consistently feed her during her window. Is there something i should try? Help! Photo for easier tracking 😀

I’m one month into EBF but I’ve realised I’m probably never going to get to leave the house without my baby for more than an hour or two for a very long time. Has anyone that breastfeeds started to give a bottle a day for a little more flexibility? If so how does this work? I don’t know where to start with this - I don’t want to mess up the breastfeeding as it seems to be going well.

So I’m not with my baby rn . My first born is currently in the hospital so I had to leave my almost 3 week old with her grandmother but I’ve been pumping since I haven’t been with her. Last night my last pump was at 10 pm and I was supposed to get up at 1 am to pump again but I haven’t gotten a lot of sleep since my son has been in the hospital so I slept thru my alarm and didn’t get up till 4 am I started pumping about 4:15 ish. Is it okay that I went that long in between pumping or should I try to power pump ? I make more than what my baby needs. She was drinking 1.5 ounces we just pushed her up to 2 ounces around 8pm last night but a typical pump I make about 3.5 ounces sometimes more
