It’s not unhealthy for the baby, likely the hormones have increased your libido but it’s absolutely not ok for you to get mad at him for not being able to keep up with you wanting it 3x a day. Get some toys, apologise to him for being angry about being rejected and give the guy a break lol he’ll be raw

Not wrong to want it 3x a day. Hormones can do it's thing. There are safe ways to do it when pregnant and you can share such with him to reduce his worry as many men are this way when partners are pregnant.

I understand you being mad at him. But this can be approached in a different and better way because I'm sure if it was the other way round, you also would want a break when yours is not as high as his.

Also, things that would help would be doing/saying things that naturally gets you both in the mood before the deed and that just makes it happen more naturally without one person feeling like it's a chore or becoming too much.

it’s absolutely fine for the baby, what’s not fine is you getting mad at your partner for saying no. you should learn that your partner isn’t a dildo, and he doesn’t owe you sex. either pleasure yourself when you feel like that and he isn’t feeling up for it, or get a grip. if this post was gender swapped everyone on this app would be screaming that he’s a coercive dick. it’s never okay to get mad at someone for not wanting sex every time you do, whether you’re hormonal, horny or not.

It’s not wrong to have a high sex drive but it is wrong to be angry with a partner who says no. You both need to be open to discussion, about both of your needs and feelings right now too. He might not want it 3x a day, he might be tired or stressed and that’s okay. He might be worried about the baby and that’s okay too. Talk to each other but getting mad at him for saying no to sex is not healthy xx

It isn’t unhealthy for baby, it doesn’t affect the baby and the baby doesn’t feel what is going on, but I have heard how some guys do get freaked out about doing stuff while their girl is pregnant. But I would just talk to him, and maybe your doctor can also help tell him, there’s no need to worry about that.

Getting back to running

I’m 8 weeks postpartum. Mamas who run, what did you do to ease back into running? I deferred my October half marathon to next year but still did the one mile that was part of the challenge (📸☺️) Per my doctor I walked it since I haven’t been doing any specific exercises to prepare my body for the impact of running again. I am walking daily and last week resumed weight and strength training. Looking to hear from others about run prep you did postpartum.

PPD

My PPD has been consuming me. This has been going on for about a year now. The providers I have spoken with go right to medication. I, personally, don’t want to take something where the side effect list includes “suicidal thoughts”
When I talk to family, they shrug it off.
Constantly hearing “oh that’s normal, it’s just your hormones.”

Curious.. if you have sex with your partner when you don’t want too because you barely had it in months and post partum. Is it bad that he almost guilts you into it? He feels uncomfortable if he knows I’m uncomfortable but deep down

He Knows I don’t want too. I feel bad because he’s really struggling with it but every encounter of intimacy he has to turn sexual and it’s literally making my skin crawl 🙃 so we literally never have sex and I don’t even wanna kiss him

Contraception

I’ve currently almost 4 months post partum, already have a nearly 2 1/2 year old. I was previously on the pill ( no break) it worked really well for me and I didn’t have a period, I don’t want to go back on it I don’t want to forget to take it as my brain is so busy now I probably will.
I have had my first depo injection to try it as another option but I already hate it, I think it’s making my hormones go all over the place, I’m having really bad mood swings, feel very stressed etc ( I know it also could be post partum) im also on my 10th day of my period with no signs of it stopping and I’ve never really had an issue with my periods being this long before. I’m confused with all of that and where my hormones are at the moment!
My question is, what’s other people experience with the depo injection during post partum time and what are people’s thoughts on the implant and the coil, im not keen on the coil personally but would still like opinions ☺️

Lonely and curious! - rant/advice

Has anyone else experienced friends sort of disappearing since having their little one?

Everyone has their own lives, and I can appreciate people giving me space while I navigate motherhood but my little girl is nearly 13 weeks and my closest friends have seen her once. I don’t ask them to come and see me and I’m happy to make the journey to meet in the middle, but something as straight forward as a text message seems like I’m asking for too much. I feel like I’m constantly trying to make the effort and message, and very rarely get anything back - when I do, it’s very basic and I don’t feel as close to them as I did.

I just feel like I wasn’t prepared for how something as wonderful as having my little girl has affected my friendships. I’m the first person around me to have a baby, too. I feel very lonely with it all and I don’t want to keep irritating my friends by trying to reach out to them.

When I brought it up to one of them, she said it was because we don’t see each other as much as I’m on maternity leave but I always think that if we were as close as I thought, it wouldn’t matter that I wasn’t at work.

I suppose in a way this is mostly just me ranting and seeing if anyone else has experienced this. I’m trying my hardest as a new mum so having this weigh on my mind is exhausting 😅
