My mum is saying I shouldn't go for an 8 week scan as its too early and wont really see anything. I have paid private, I dont know if to move the date later. I just wanted some reassurance that all is well. Feel a bit deflated as I felt so excited about booking, but now not sure if its worth it or to wait for my 12 week nhs scan and push it back. Advise please š

We went last weekend, we were exactly 7 weeks. We could see little bean and a flicker of a heartbeat. It was very reassuring for us.

8 weeks in my head isnāt even early, I went before 6 š
Itās such a piece of mind to even just know the pregnancy is in the right place, but at 8 weeks should see foetal pole, yolk sac, heartbeat and may even look less like a random blob š¤š»

Im going this Sunday and will be 7 weeks 3 days. Purely going for reassurance as I had miscarriage last year. Be nice to see baby doing ok š„°

I had scans at 6 and 9 weeks in my last pregnancy and will be doing the same this time around. You have to do what is right for you! If you want reassurance then it really helps - you can see if things are in the right place, if thereās a heartbeat, and it helps with early dating as well

In my last pregnancy I went at 6 and 9 weeks and it was soooo reassuring to see they were growing and okay! 12-13 weeks is such a long time to wait! You do what feels right to you itās your baby and no one elseās xx

I have a reassurance scan booked for this Sunday. I'll be 8+3.
