Hi everyone! I’ve recently been diagnosed with gestational diabetes at 34 weeks after having four abnormal blood sugar readings, mainly in the mornings.
I’ve had two previous glucose tolerance tests which were normal, so this has come as a bit of a surprise, especially so late in pregnancy!
Has anyone else been diagnosed around 34 weeks? How did you manage it, and did it have any impact on your birth plans or delivery? I’m a first time mum so any advice would be appreciated xx

I haven't but my sister in law did. She had extra scans etc. She managed with diet but she was practically veggie anyway. She's having a planned c section this friday and has managed to get to 38 weeks. Check what you're eating as that can really help.

I was diagnosed in 3rd trimester (28 weeks) in my first pregnancy.
Its actually quite normal for it to develop late, because as your hormones rise your pancreas loses the ability to control things. I was diet controlled until 36 weeks then had to go on metformin which meant 38 week induction rather than natural labour. I have it now currently, with my 2nd baby
I see so many mums keeping a packed daily schedule, and it makes me feel guilty that I don't do the same for my 9 weeks old daughter. Do you feel like your baby needs constant out-of-the-home stimulation, or is a slower, quieter routine at home just as good?

Hey mamas! I was getting induced at 39 weeks since baby is big. The induction itself last over 30 hours and the doctor then suggested it turn into a c-section delivery. It was the most mortifying experience ever, being deliriously drugged up and in pain for such a long period of time, then being told the initial operation was unsuccessful.
Now I’m about 6 days post-partum and healing at home. Any mamas have advice on whether scar cream is necessary? Is it that effective? Which one did you use?
Any advice to speed up recovery?
Thanks!

Hey lovelies
So my water ruptured almost 24 hours ago but my contractions are not regulating themselves and I’m still at 1 cm since Thursday. They said after 24 h of the water rupture they will proceed with induction so like they will give me a pill to regulate and force the contractions to get stronger and closer tgt.
Has anyone gone through this?

Is anyone else measuring a week less?
From my last monthly i should be 11+5 had a scan and they said I'm only 10+5?
So they can't give me a due date?
Never had this last pregnancy so curious what date do I go by? X

My best friend and I had babies 3 days apart, both c sections, 6 months ago. My friends belly has gone back to before with no overhang, whereas I still have an overhang.
I try not to compare but it’s making me feel really depressed. Anyone else still have an overhang?
