What’s everyone’s working/childcare arrangements atm? How many hours do you work, family help with care?, nursery, childminders etc? Feel like my current situation isn’t working and need a change but unsure how to make it work
Is there any way to change the child benefit to be paid monthly instead of weekly? Just thinking it’d be easier to buy it all in bulk when I have all the money at once instead of going the shop every week to buy the things as we only have a co op near us and the pampers are £7 for 20🫣

So how is everyone feeling about finding out the primary school place our babies have got tomorrow? I’m so worried! Doesn’t help I’ll be in work when I find out 🙈
I found a few childminders locally who are a good option but I’m a bit surprised by their contracts. 1) they take 6 weeks holidays a year and you still have to pay them but they reduce the daily rate by a third 2) don’t work bank holidays and you still have to pay 3) charge £15 a day extra if you use government fund...
Is there somewhere where I can donate baby stuff? We have a lot of extra and want to donate it to moms in need
I've heard about seriously long waiting lists to get children into nursery but wondering if anyone knows if that's the same in/around Gateshead? I'm not sure how far in advance we need to start looking at trying to book a place? If anyone knows anything or has any advice that would be fab 😊
Hey guys, I am new to California, I am looking for some good options to help my 2.3 yr old daughter to grow. I see here in san diego cost of day care is too high so I want to check any other good option my husband earns but that is just good for our survival we are not able to accommodate day care fee in our budget...
Is feltham hill a forest school? Does anyone send their child here? What's it like? I'm exploring the idea of sending my son to a forest school but need to do a lot of research. If there's any other forest schools in the borough please let me know your experience?
Just looking for some advice - is this a thing? I’m thinking like how we used to do at school when you would take in sweets / chocolates for your birthday (but obviously you can’t do that)! For context, my baby has been in nursery since Jan and will be 1 this week, when I dropped her this morning they said they’d be...
States is for eligible working parents. Is that both parents working? Dad is full time but I am a sahm, will that be a problem?
Just been told that they now don't have a space for my son due to not enough staff. We were "accepted" since 7 months ago (I only wanted him to start at 16 months) I run a business from home, and really need the extra time to make more money! Not going to lie, I was looking forward to a few child free hours a fe...

Hi has everyone started looking around schools and applying for schools right now ?
My little boy loves nursery and he’s come on so much since he started and he gets very bored at home. I work 3 days a week and I also have a baby at home. Am I mean for considering sending my toddler to nursery an extra day whilst I’m off to spend some time with the baby?
My little one is 9 months in August. I return to work October from maternity leave. I plan to return part time and dad works full time. Ideally I would like her to be settled into nursery before I return to work. When would I apply for free childcare hours please? And how do I do this?
