What age are double strollers for?

Most double strollers are suitable for 6 months and up, but can be used for newborns with additional support.

Most double strollers can be used with toddlers, too ‒ some are even sit and stand double strollers, which have a seat in the front for small babies and a standing platform at the back for toddlers.

Can you put a newborn in a double stroller?

Yes, you can put a newborn into a double stroller, but it has to be the right type of double stroller.

Your newborn baby won’t be able to hold their own head up or sit upright by themselves, so be sure to check with the manufacturer that you can put them in the double stroller.

Some double strollers have additional components that you can buy to modify the double stroller to give your newborn the support they need, so check with the manufacturer if you need them.

Do I need a double stroller for newborn and toddler?

No, you don’t need a double stroller for newborn and toddler, but it can help.

If your toddler isn’t walking yet, or they are walking, but you’re traveling a longer distance than their little legs can keep up with, getting a sit and stand double stroller or even a side-by-side double stroller could help keep both your little ones safe.

Do I need a double stroller for 2 under 2?

No, you don’t need to get a double stroller for two under 2, but some of our Peanut mamas say they can make things so much easier.

Especially if your toddler is still taking naps, a walk around the block in a double stroller can be just the thing to get them both to nod off.

Do I need a double buggy for 18 month old and newborn?

No, you don’t need to get a double stroller for an 18-month-old and a newborn, but it can help.

At 18 months old, they might not be able to keep up with you on a walk, so a double stroller can mean they can see all the sights while getting a breath of fresh air.

Do I need a double stroller for a 4-year-old and newborn?

You can get a double stroller for a 4-year-old and a younger baby, although it may be worth weighing your older child to make sure they’re within the recommended weight allowance for the double stroller.

Some double strollers have a maximum capacity of 35lbs per seat, but as long as you check the capacity and make sure your 4-year-old sits within that capacity, it should be absolutely fine.

Which double stroller folds up the smallest?

The Thule Urban Glide 2 Double Stroller folds up to a super-compact 34.3" x 30.1" x 16.2", making it the smallest folded double stroller on our list.

What double stroller can hold the most weight?

Can you take a double stroller on a plane?

Can I gate check my double stroller?

It may depend on the airline provider, but, yes, most of them allow you to gate check a double stroller.

If you’re not sure, check with your airline provider.

Are side-by-side strollers allowed at Disney?

Yes and no ‒ there’s a limit on the size of all strollers when traveling to Disneyland or DisneyWorld.

So yes, side-by-side double strollers are allowed at Disney, but they have to be within certain measurements, so not all side-by-side double strollers are permitted.

Check here for the most up-to-date DisneyWorld stroller requirements and here for Disneyland stroller requirements.

Can you put twins in one stroller?

Yes, you certainly can, as long as you have a double stroller.

Single strollers aren’t suitable for more than one child, unless you have a modular stroller that you can add another seat to.

Reducing formula feeds

I've just been told by my nursery that they wont give bottles of/and formula from 1 year one, my little boys 1 in 3 weeks.
Looking for advice on how to reduce his formula intake?
Hes loves both food and milk 🫣 I think he will drink cows milk so that's not the issue im more concerned about the fact that hes in a routine with his bottles.

1 week postpartum

Hi, I’m 1 week postpartum and exclusively breastfeeding. My baby last had a poo on 20th March (when she was 3 days old) and hasn’t had one since… just wet nappies. She seems very okay too. Is this normal? I’m seeing the health visitor on Monday but just wanted some reassurance thanks x

Dummy dilemma

My LO is 4.5 months old and pre birth i was quite adamant that I didn't want her to have a dummy. About 4 days in we caved and it gave some well needed relief in those first few months! She used to only have it during the day and didn't need it at night. Since the delightful sleep regression has hit we have found ourselves just using it to settle her during the night. As such, we are now finding ourselves having to put it back in about 5-6 times a night, maybe more and I'm cursing the day i ever bloody bought one because now I think she is so reliant on it! Considering going cold turkey but don't feel mentally prepared for it. Has anyone tried just getting rid of them and riding it out? I wish I'd never bought one but I have no idea what I would do now in the early hours to settle her! Hoping to sleep train at 6 months and the general advice is to not do that with the dummy. I'm driving myself mad with how much I feel like I've made her be so comforted by it 😒 x
